too many problems especially for that price!

The guide rails in the freezer section have been replaced because the gear assembly skipped a tooth or two and the freezer drawer would not close correctle/completely. The produce drawers have excess condensation and we are getting water puddling in the bottom of those two drawers. Electrolux is now sending out a repair service to replace the inulation in the unit. The adjustment screw to limit the swing of the door will not stay in the preferred position, causing the door to swing into the handle of the adjacent oven handle. I have to re-tighten the screw every couple of weeks. There are only two responsible adults using this appliance and we've had all these problems. I'd hate to see what would happen with a family of young children and teenagers.

Great-but the ice maker is not designed properly

This is a great appliance. It is beautiful and functional. But, the ice maker has a design flaw. When the ice maker is full, and you open the freezer, the top ice is swept out of the bin and behind the freezer drawer. It is extremely hard to reach it. The door will often not close unless you manually remove it. It almost always drops down behind and then under the freezer drawer and onto the floor in front of the freezer drawer. This appliance was WAY too expensive to have such a major design flaw that causes a constant irritation to the user.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the lighting and the dimensions!

For a counter-depth refrigerator (meaning it's not as deep as regular ones) this is very, very roomy. We needed a counter-depth because of our tight kitchen space. The interior lighting is fantastic. Trays and shelves are easy to remove and clean. I haven't really tested the different temperatures in the drawers, but the freezer's two compartments (one slightly less frigid for soft ice cream) have been very convenient. The exterior stainless steel comes clean easily with a stainless steel wipe cloth, so fingerprints haven't been an issue. Only criticism is the lack of instruction for shutting down the refrigerator and ice maker for seasonal closing in Maine--the manual says simply to consult our technician. Our skilled plumber had some difficulty ensuring that he had fully drained and blown out the pipes, and we didn't want to have to pay a technician when the plumber was already there, closing down the cabin for winter. The manual could have left some instruction! That aside, though, we're very happy with the refrigerator.

Our initial Electrolux failed to cool below 40 degrees. After multiple visits by the repair tech, the vendor replaced the refrigerator with a new one. Our replacement Electrolux failed to cool at all. We replaced it with a different brand.

I have really enjoyed this refrigerator for it's functionality and design. The difficulty I have is with the high pitched sound from the condenser. It has been ear piercing for me during it's operation. I thought there was a mechanical problem and had a technician come for maintenance. He said there's nothing wrong, the high pitched sound is the condenser running. This is how they sound, they've made them more efficient and this creates the noise. Now I have developed ringing in my ears each night when I go to sleep. I wish there was a way to muffle this sound as it has ruined my experience with this refrigerator. Unfortunately, I'm sure all refrigerators now made with this kind of condenser have the same issue. I may be overly sensitive, so if you don't mind the sound then I recommend this appliance.

Best choice ever

The vegetable drawer keeps my vegatables fresh so much longer than my last fridge. My fruit stay amazingly fresh, no mold on cut lemons.awesome! The zone drawer is the best. My sliced American cheese never gets hard around the edges. The lunch meats stay fresher longer. I am saving a lot of money with these features. I am very impressed. We keep bread in the soft serve drawer not ice cream. We feel it is too soft. The stainless exterior is easy to clean too. Love this fridge. Thank you, Diane Kemmerer

I am still getting used to the space, but I love the design and especially the LED lighting. The refrigerator area is very well configured, with lots of options for setting the shelves. My only objection are the curved edges, that lose some placement space. The glass shelves are lovely, and the overall quality of the materials is very good.
As for the freezer, I am still getting used to the drawer style storage, as I formerly had a side by side with shelves. Organizing food was much easier. I do miss having space to freeze completed meals. I have confidence that I will learn to enjoy the new features. I did not choose to connect the ice maker, as we use very little ice and 2 regular trays fit nicely in the space, giving me exrtra space for other items.
Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Electrolux French Door Refrigerator

I had heard a lot about the quality of Electrolux and so far support that view. The fridge only just fitted our space height wise (I trusted the manual which gave exact dimensions and despite the installation team's skepticism, the dimensions proved to be spot on!). Space wise it seems great - the layout is very good, and I get more into the door compartments than with my old fridge. I love the self-closing drawers, and the adjustable temperature settings on those and the soft serve compartment in the freezer unit are a nice touch.
