Beautiful Refrigerator, great LED lighting

I bought the 42" in 2016, got a lemon at first, but was immediately replaced with a new one. If you do not like the fact that you have to open both doors in a French door refrigerator to access the inside drawers - do not get one. I like the very large drawer for storage, so I can live with opening both doors. The freezer section isn't large, but I buy fresh groceries every two days or so and do not freeze a lot of food so it is large enough for me. Buy a different style if this one doesn't suit you, but KitchenAid products are great and I have two houses with them and have had no trouble.

Luxury Built-In

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 42-inch wide built-in has much more space and flexible shelving than our old side-by-side. The freezer drawer holds more food than we usually keep and room for ice cream and a large ice bin. Vey quiet, but we love hearing the ice when it falls into the bin.

Service nightmare

After a year several of the lights died. They are built-in and non-replaceable. The service technicians ordered two new circuit boards to fix the issue which were back ordered at the factory. Four months later they came out to install them. Tech says the lights were fixed when he left; 6 hours later they are dead again. Now waiting for another tech to come out again in two weeks. Meanwhile the warranty is slowly expiring. Very poor experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth thousands of dollars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The locking/sealing piece on the left door always falls off. Both doors have to be open to open produce drawers inside. Very pretty but not functional and always breaking.

Good layout

Good - layout is very usable and convenient. Easy to see, reach and grab things. Doors have a lot of room.
Not so good - Freezer is small, I actually lost freezer space from my side by side since I had the freezer door cubbies.
