This printer has a lot of nice features BUT the wireless feature does not work. I have had a professional Tech working on this issue for over three hours and can not get this feature to work. It is correctly attached to my network but will not communicate with either of my computers, which at the moment are very close to the printer. Another reason not to buy this printer is that the ink is expensive

I have never had such an easy time installing a printer - it almost did it all itself. I love the solid quality of the machine itself, the control panel and the ease of operation. Besides all that - the quality of its output is excellent. Thanks Epson!

Excellent Print Quality

I purchased this printer because it had a rear feed in addition to the tray. I was disappointed to discover that only one page could be loaded onto the rear feed. My main project is printing photo calendars and it is much easier to flip and reload pages in a rear feed. I am fully aware that the printer has an automatic duplexer. However, like many other printers this printer sometimes picks up two sheets which results in pages being out of order and thus requiring a reprint and wasted paper. I use high resolution paper so this can become a bit costly. Feeding one page at a time into the insufficient rear feed is time consuming. So, I insert a minimum number of sheets in the tray and watch the output closely so that I can abort the print when I see two pages emerging. The print output is excellent, much better than the printer I was using previously. So I will tolerate the inconvenience... for a while. Also, the support for the media being placed in the rear feed is very flimsy. Others have mentioned that the instructions for setup, etc. are not very good. I will agree that they could use some improvement to make the setup easier for a novice to understand. I have used Epson printers since the days of DOS and dot matrix printers and have always found them to be of excellent quality for the most part. As for recommending this printer to someone, I would do so depending on their planned usage.

Great Printer to Setup with Quality Copies

This has been the easiest printer to setup. The setup program provided easy to understand step by step instructions. Once the software was installed I printed a test copy and the quality of the print was outstanding. The sales person told me this was an outstanding printer and now I see why she said that. The footprint on my desk is small, but provides high quality compared to the competitors machine I was looking at. The cost of the inkjet cartridges are reasonable as well. This is an awesome printer.

Nice job on CD printing

I bought this to print CDs because my R300 printers both finally quit and fixing them was cost-prohibitive.
Like other inkjets, this one uses more ink than I'd like to "prime the pump" - change one ink cartridge, and it depletes the others to (it seems to me) an unnecessary degree. Ink is expensive.
I like the printer, it does the job very well, and it costs more to use than I think it should.
