XP-820 is replacing my Epson RX680 which in my opinion was one of the finest all in ones Epson made for home use. XP-820 has all of the same features, in a smaller package. Wireless features make the unit convenient. The colors are very good, the scanner is a little slow, but the quality is very good, I do quite a bit of CD disk printing and the quality is equal to the more expensive RX680. The cassettes are a little smaller and don't hold as much paper, but overall this printer suits my needs and I find the touch screen is very easy to use.

I am a dedicated scrapbooker who has a degree in photography. This is my second Epson printer and the first one lasted a LONG time! I love the fact that I can count on my Epson printers to accurately and beautifully print my photos. I love the quality the Epson papers provide and know that my photos will outlive me to be passed on to family members. Thank you Epson!

Unable to print pictures

Something in the machine is not grabbing the picture paper and I cannot print pictures and I am very disappointed.
I was able to print a couple pictures before it stopped printing, and they were indeed very beautiful but it is very frustrating mostly because I cannot reach the part to see what the problem is like previous printer products!!

When it came time to replace the old HP Photosmart printer I did the requisite research and eventually decided on the XP-820. The set up was easy due to the well designed touch screen and took about thirty minutes. It does everything it promised, prints great documents, scans to a variety of places, including email, sends and receives faxes and copies. It prints high quality photos directly from the SD card with better color and resolution than those I had enhanced with Photoshop. For the price, it would be hard to ask for more.

I have four printers and this one is the very best. Ink can be expensive no matter what printer you have but this one is easy on the ink. Mainly because it has individual colors. The 800 series has never let me down. It prints beautifully.

Epson XP 820

I bought this printer 4 days ago.I set it up the next day. This is my fourth Epson printer. My previous purchase was an XP 950 which I am still using. The installation is easy, and I had no problem until I could not get the computer to recognize the printer. It took me an hour to discover that I had to insert the word bonjour in the blank in the Printers and Scanners page. I could not find this information anywhere, but in retrospect it makes sense. Once the word was inserted the computer found the printer and its name appeared in the printer list as the default. The printer works perfectly.

Love the improvements over the x810 but who designed the paper tray should be fired only holds 25 sheets of paper and the cd carriage to print cd or dvd on tried to pull it out only made one hold to grab it!!

This is a very good printer. It prints photos very well. The only thing I don't like is the automatic feed only works for scanning and not copying. If I have several pages I need copied, they have to be done one at a time. I think it would be easier to scan them then print. I think this is a design flaw. Other than that I really like this all in one.
