Easy to setup and easy to use. I would recommend this printer to family and friends. Quick printing and great quality. Double sided saves me paper. Many features that I haven't used yet. Wifi is easy to setup and then I can leave this printer in an inconspicuous place.

I reviewed several current Epson printers before deciding on the XP-820. I have been using Epson printers for 7 years. As a graphic designer, the color is beautiful. Setup was almost painless. I would have liked a small diagram locating the USB port in the quick guide. Had to download the manual to make sure. Thus far I am very happy with this product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchase of my 3rd epson printer

Think Epson is terrific & prefer doing all business directly with them online.Set up went smoothly, but I'm not sure if I'm done.
The CD I inserted sent me online to down load & there's still a long list of stuff - not sure if I'm supposed to take all of it ???

Not Even Sure Why?

The first 2 days with this printer were precious and then it stopped printing - ANYTHING!!! I've even gotten my teenagers to try and resolve the issue - whatever it is and nothing is working and no one can figure out WHY? I thought this whole wireless thing was suppose to be better...right now I want my safe, reliable dot matrix printer back!!! DARN technology!

eats up paper

it's super hungry on ink and paper. Could never get it to print properly because all it does is eat up paper. You look at it wrong and it'll jam. Even when there's no paper jam, it'll say paper jam. If one thing is wrong with it (i.e. ink too low for 1 color), it won't print even in b/w. If the scanner is broken, the printer will not work. Good luck with this if you buy it. This is the 2nd Epson printer we bought and they both broke with paper jams, ink smears.

Great for Wireless Printing

Easy setup. No problem with WiFi settings. LED prompts are clear and helpful. Scanning and Copying work well. Scan software gives great control over image size and quality. When to send a photo file to the printer, it automatically switches to the tray with photo paper. The paper tray needs some redesign. It is a bit difficult to access and the quantity of paper it holds should be increased.

Poor connectivity

Doesn't work well with Mac OS X.X Drops connections after sleep. No other printer I have had has this problem. Wireless interface connection is fair, but I have to use it once a week to re-establish connection.

Slow to Start Printing

While this Epson prints out fairly good documents and pictures, it takes FOREVER to start the printing process. This is a huge drawback for me. Had I known this, I would not have purchased the printer and for the price, I know of other printers that don't have this issue. For those who don't care about the time for it to actually start printing, it is a fair printer. From that standpoint, I would not recommend it.
