Printing CD's

I bought the 820 to print a batch of CD's while my disk publisher was in repair. It took me a minute to figure out how to load the CD's (you remove the cd tray from the bottom of the paper tray and insert it in a slot above the paper tray), and I found it easier to use the Sure Thing label software I'd been using before than to make a new layout in the Epson software, but once I figured everything out, it just worked.
Plus, I have a nice photo printer to replace the one I dropped a few weeks ago. I tried emailing a photo from my Android phone to the printer and once I figured out that the glossy side of the photo paper needed to be on the bottom, I got a 4 by 6 picture of my new grand-daughter. What a nice bonus.

I am impressed with the ease of installation and usage of this printer!! It did not take long at all, it came with easy to read and understand instructions for set-up and installation!! The printer does not take up a lot of space and all its features are compact inside when not in use. The quality is great and Im confident I made an awesome purchase! I love the touch screen and the automatic features!!

Normally I anticipate setting up a new printer with dread. This one was a pleasant surprise. The instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. I have an iMac, several iPads and an iPhone. I have printed wirelessly from the iPad, using double sided print - no problem. I definitely would recommend this one. I look forward to seeing the pictures I will print later.

Well, after several hours of research I was excited about purchasing the XP-620. Well next to the 620 was an 820 which I was unaware of. so after reading everything on the box, I decided to go with the 820. My main reason was for photo's. After downloading the manual I was amazed of all the options I didn't notice on the box. The photo's are above my expectations, this is really an all in one. Very happy with my purchase. The 5 ink cartridge was a must for me. My daughter plays the flute in school and loves that she can print music sheets. All in all I purchased an item that does way more things then I was aware of, that doesn't happen much any more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

NETWORK PROBLEMS

The printer seems to work good and prints nice pictures, I had it for about 2 months now and all works good except one problem I have almost every time I go to use it and it won't connect to my network. I have to turn it off a couple of times and reboot my computer before it finally works. That is a problem for me because I need to move my room around so I can have a direct connection.

At age 75 I was able to get it up and running with a Mac in about thirty minutes. That's saying something with todays electronic products. The first page printed beautifully. The display is clear, big enough to read with these older eyes, and quite intuitive. Now if I can only find the users guide.

Good all in one printer

This printer does the following well:
1) print documents
2) prints on both sides of the paper
3) provides double size cartridges for black ink text, not using black ink for images
4) has images that gives instructions
5) wireless access for printing
Shortcomings:
1) small and not very high output tray
2) written instructions online does not appear to be easily understood sometimes; needed to contact a support tech to help complete the setup.

I really like to quality of the printer, but it seems to use a lot of ink compared to other brands I use. I am a school teacher so I normally make 1 copy of a document and then run the class set on the school copier. However I've had problems in getting everything set up properly. I bought 2 of the same brand within a 30-day period and took one to my classroom for quick prints throughout the day. This printer produces nice crisp copies and the cd/dvd prints come out professional.
