This is a wonderful product; however, the fax utility software is "crabby". I can not delete it and reload. keep getting error..5005 :0x800702. Other than the fax, I am very pleased with all the other features!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great printer - love duplex & rear feed

The print and scan quality is great. Its compact size is fantastic. It's easy to use if you follow the panel instructions. (I've been using it for 3 months, but I haven't set up the fax yet.)
My favorite features are:
2-sided printing: This feature was a must for me and while it doesn't handle 2-sided legal paper, the printer margins for letter paper are much smaller than other printers I've had.
rear paper feed: This feature is wonderful for specialty paper and there is no need to reload the main tray for other low use paper types.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Welcome Product!

FINALLY a printer that has changes/additions that are welcome, at least to this person who does a boatload of printing, especially photos. 1st: this unit, XP 820, is NOT a space hog. 2nd: it's NOT an ink pig! 3rd: it was a BREEZE to install! 4th: LOVE the 2 paper trays. 5th: the change that won me over: a document tray that AUTOMATICALLY extends to print, and RETRACTS when done!! GREAT FEATURE!! Plus, it's got a lot of other welcome user friendly features! As a photographer, my demands for quality photo prints are very high. The XP 820 meets those parameters and more. Of all the models of other brands we've tried, the XP 820 gets the Gold! Nice to know somebody is listening to what the customers would like in a printer. EPSON,...you've got a winner with this unit!

Overall this is the best printer, except when I switch to photo or decal paper, it jams a lot.

So Frustrating with OSX.

For the price, this should be able to both scan and print. Mine has managed to accomplish neither without me having to "trick" it into working. I set out to print two documents this afternoon, and more than six hours (!) later, I am still trying to print the final three pages of the second document. It prints the header, then forgets what it is doing and quits. I have wasted so much paper and ink today...
I have had this machine for six days, and I absolutely despise it. This will be the last Epson product I ever buy.

Not Printing On Tablet
on October 8, 2014

Bought this printer, after 3 prior purchasing failures, to use for printing from my tablet (yes I have the Epson iprint app). Yet another disappointment. Tablet shows that this is my printer, but documents don't print. Go Figure!!! Will give Epson benefit of doubt since tablet recognizes the printer and actually printed something to do with Epson Connect, but when I try to print a document from tablet, am stymied. What seems so simple, seems to be a major hurdle. Maybe it's me, but setup directions seem to be a vital step. I can print perfectly fine wirelessly from my main computer.

complicated, frustrating

I find this to be the most complicated printer i have owned. It is infuriating that you cant print when any of the ink colors are out even if you have a full black ink and want to print black and white ( even after you turn off the color print option) I would not recommend this printer

Help me!

Without a manual, I am having great difficulty finding features such as bordless/border, color adjustment, size of picture, color correctiion. The cd will not download on my Apple and there is no menu for downloading manually.
I am totally frustrated with this printer.
The store told me it was very easy to operate. This is not true. To go back to the store is about an hour's drive.
I would like a paper manual that tells me how to navigate through
the queues to get what I need..Can you help me?
