Printer works really well but ink is so expensive that I went back to my regular photo lab. Would have been nice to print in house and would have bought larger output printer for our studio work but cost of printing was too high. Epson: give me a better price on ink and I promise I'll use a lot of it! ( Your paper too! )

Efficient, & Great

My first printer with this brand and I wasn't sure if I would like it. I more than like it. Does everything I need it to and more. At one point certain colors weren't printing; but I discovered it self cleans the heads after you choose that option and viola it worked; it took more than one try but it did the trick. I also love scanning and faxing a batch of papers at once and the self feeder instead of one sheet at a time. I truly love this feature. Thanks Epson.

only one question

Whenever I turn on the printer it always asks me if I want to configure the date/time. I always click on "no". How do I fix this?
Otherwise it's a great produc. I haven't printed CDs or set up the fax but I don't really need a fax much if any...

Excellent product and excellent price

We purchased the Epson XP 820 series printer a few months ago. I love it. It was very easy to install on all our laptops here at home. I love that is it Wi-Fi connected, It is very easy to use and has great quality of printing. I could not believe how much this printer could do: copy, scan, fax, and print. All in either black/white or color. The cartridges are easy to replace. I printed several pictures off my computer and they were wonderful. I don't think I will have to run to pick up pictures anymore. I would highly recommend this printer/scanner/copier/fax machine to anyone.

Ink $ good, document handler not so much

This is my 2nd Epson printer, replacing an Artisan 810 bought in early 2010. which is still in fine condition, but the ink prices are high. The XP-820 is slow, but in my business that's ok. The SECOND time I used the document handler, it quit working. My 7-yr old Artisan 810 is still working fine. I'm not happy about that! But I do love the ink prices.

Not so great

I loved my last printer, and this one has not been so great. It prints just fine in black and white. But I go through ink very fast. I end up running out of color ink quickly even though I rarely print in color. It doesn't hold a lot of paper, and although I don't have to print a lot at work it seems I am constantly running out mid print. I haven't used the photo printing so I don't know about that. But I also find that refilling the paper tray is annoying because the tray holder (for paper after it has printed) comes out and is in the way. Overall I find this printer a bit annoying.

Not working after recommended interventions. Large paperweight (and expensive for it's performance-or the lack there of). Too much effort, time and money for zero results.

Good printer, but...

Overall, the printer is of good quality. The document and photo quality is good; however, the printer often disconnects from the network. I find myself having to reinstall the printer from time to time to be able to print or scan. If it wasn't for this glitch, I would give it a 5 star.
