I'm 84 yrs old and I've owned printer for 1 week. Had no trouble setting it up. I made copy of MANUAL using 2-UP feature (manual pages are small), and print was excellent. Printed copies in 3 batches as had limited time. Made 1 photo at this time and it was sharp. Looking forward to making other old photo's of family. Printer was set up for Wi-Fi with no trouble.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson XP-820

So far I do love the printer and scanner; the only issue was it was difficult to set up with my home and mac computers. I called the technical hotline and they were wonderful, but there was no way I could have done it without their assistance. Set up for this printer needs to be easier. I am happy, however with how this printer/scanner is performing and I love the wireless connection.
I would recommend this to a friend!

One of my disappointments was the email to scan. I could not figure this out, I had to install a USB. The instructions were poor too.

Photo Prnting

Every time I print the same photo the color is different. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Seldom accurate. Could not recommend for photos. Black and white printing is fine for documents.

Not a very good product

The printer was initially easy to set up and get working. After several months we began experiencing wireless connection problems with the printer that can not be resolved with the troubleshooting recommendations. I will edit this review once I have spoken to an Epson representative. Also, the ink cartridges are rather expensive and run out of ink rather quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love my Epson XP-820

Our previous printer was an Epson workforce and we were very pleased with it, so when we needed a new printer wanted nothing but an Epson, and especially after shoping and reviewing the different brands. we are so pleased with the XP-820 and it's many great features. we really love it. Love the ease of the double sided printing, being able to print from all our devices from any distance, the clarity and beauty of the color printing of documents, etc., the ease of set up, the ease of use. it is wonderful. we have no complaints and we have had this printer for 3 months. We got it on sale at a great price, but would have paid more if had to. We wanted the smallest all in one printer we could get and this seemed to be it to be able to get all the features provided in the XP-820. It is a terrific value: great quality, so many great features, the smaller size and all at a great price. What would I ask Epson to work on improving? To make it even smaller with larger ink cartridges or refillable cartridges that were less expensive, hopefully much less expensive. And, Epson does have a much more expensive printer that accommodates that need. So hopefully they are on the road to providing this also at lower price while maintaining the great quality and many features.

Initial Impression is Very Favorable

I just purchased the XP-820 and the setup was extremely easy and very quick. I set it up in the wireless mode with no difficulties. Thus far I've only done a few copies, a few scans, and some regular printing from my computer. Give me 6 months of use with this printer and I will be able to fully judge the reliability and utility of the printer.

Smart Printer

This printer took some time to set up and get used to the many features it has available. Once I got through the initialization process, configuring the Wi-Fi connection, and installing the driver and programs. the printer works well. I haven't yet tried the Smartphone printing, the CD/DVD printing, or the scanner yet, but I'm very impressed with the quality of the print test and it automatically goes into "hibernate" mode after seven minutes. Awesome!
