I have used computers since 1998 and this the finest printer I have ever used as well as the most compact. Print quality is excellent. The LCD touch display is very intuitive and easy to use making it easy to control every aspect of printer function. I have yet to print CD or DVDs and am looking forward to that experience. I love having separate cartridges for each colour of ink, and both regular and photo black ink! This printer has exceeded every expectation and I cannot imagine using another printer.

I have been very happy with the XP-820. I needed a sturdy printer for the kids and their homework, and I needed a high quality photo printer. I got both of those. As an added bonus, the scan capabilities of this printer are excellent too. I am scanning pictures from the 1980s into the Adobe RGB color space. It gives me very good quality even if the print paper is matte texture or if the colors are faded badly. This printer is an excellent low-cost item for the home office.

I was just going to LOOK at printers and ended up bringing this one home. An in store demo convinced me to try it and I've been super happy !! It took a little bit to get it in sync with the network but I'm not the best at networking. I've used it quite a bit so far and like the speed !! The photos on photo paper are fantastic. I've even done some of the shrinky dink plastic and must say this printer may be the best I've ever had. I've had two other brands mostly ... never tried an Epson until now. I may never go back to the other brands I've used. I love the size. I've not tried scanning yet .. but I can't imagine I wouldn't be a happy camper ... Thank you Epson !!

The printer seems to work just fine. I had some issues but it was from the pc ( downloading the printer into the pc) I have which is on it's 7th life. The biggest problem I had was calling the help line. I was "disconnected" at 9:30am. They called back at 3:30pm to see if I needed help. By that time I had figured out the issue. The person that had helped me needed another course on patience and working with the public..

Purchase this for printing pictures. Love it. Plus just learned cloud connect. Basically you can scan or copy right into you email directly without connecting to computer. Printing right from iPhone or iPad no drivers needed everything done wirelessly. Great love this

I must have gotten a bad machine. I am really sorry but I did not get that wonderful photo quality that was so highly talked about. I loved the cd/dvd aspect even though I did not get to try it. I liked the memory card going right into the printer. I like the touch screen. It just did not deliver when the pictures were printed, lines through the pictures even after an alignment, really feel that is something that the companies should be able to do when everything is plugged in so that it is done properly.
