problems with scanner

When I put paper into the auto doc feeder and hit scan on the printer screen, it does nothing. It only starts scanning if I click a button on the computer software. Frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Printer is great - instructions are awful!

Love the printer -- however, getting set up wasn't easy! Instructions were minimal - very poorly done. And this morning I went to down photos from my camera and the SDHC disk goes in, but unlike my previous Epsom (had that for 8 years) no information of the photos come up on screen! NOTHING in the instructions booklet (hardly a booklet really - just a couple of pages.

Setting up Printer

I have a Mac and the directions for setting up my new XP-820 are not clear. After the 2nd day of getting my printer, I am still trying to set up the software and get all of the functions working.
I also have completed the for to register 5 times and yet Epson says that my XP-820 is not registered.
I hope this sixth time will work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easiest setup EVER!

This printer is fantastic. I can't give it a 5 star rating because it is a low end printer with only 5 ink cartridges, but if you want a nice home office printer for a low cost then this should be in the running for your next printer

Can't believe it was so EASY

Just purchased this printer and perhaps it is premature, but I can't believe the set up was so easy! It took me less than an hour to set it up, install software and connect two PC's and a laptop wirelessly! We have spent days trying to get a competitor's printer to connect wirelessly and finally gave up! I've owned four Epson printers previously and very glad I went with my instincts and purchased this one! It was so easy I went ahead and set up Epson Connect so we can print remotely from our devices through email. So easy!

Epson Expression Premium x-820 is replacing a HP Photosmart 7520. Due to the capabilities if the 820. Rear paper feed, standard paper tray and CD print capabilities. Easy to setup, menu options are easy to navigate. Photo prints are extremely bright and clear. All round excellent printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
