Scan software too complex

The scan instructions (software) needs to be simplified. It can be confusing. It is a pain to use.

It does everything I need it to do quite efficiently. However, The heads sure need cleaning frequently.

Seems to be very economical on ink, much more than I ever expected. Cloud print from way over in the next county was really impressive. The photo prints are amazing, even on "normal," especially when using Epson papers. Still working on getting my apps to print to the right paper source, but that's an app problem. Very happy with the printer and scanner functions.

Blotchy, splotchy, missing ink line rows on printed material

Quality of printing declined over the past year so that now there ink splotches and spots in inappropriate places on the document, and lines of blank print or lines of colors every 3/4" approximately, making the printer unusable for printing photos or any other documents which require consistent ink application. Even printed documents have multi-color hues, often with blank lines all the way through the document at regular intervals, so that even basic printing must be checked over carefully to ensure the words or numbers are legible. Repeated head cleaning does not help. Realigning does not help. Although the machine functions, the quality of output over time has declined dramatically.
The good thing is that it is light-weight and has a small footprint. Scanner works well.

Liking my Epson Printer
