impossible to change the ink!

Every time I have to replace the ink the machine will not recognize the ink. I waste at least 30 minutes taking it out and putting it in. Epson has even replaced the printer but I have the same problem. I am using Epson ink so that is not the problem. I have never had such a hard time replacing ink before. I will NOT buy an Epson again - I do not care how good it prints!

I have had several Epson's over the years and this one just eats up the ink. Problem is once you run out of a color you can NOT just print black. It will only let you switch to black only if all the ink ports have ink. A real pain if you need to get things done. This clearly was not thought through in developing this printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought on recommendation of friend to replace a printer that had stopped working, but find I have more problems using this one. Paper jams, more sheets of paper coming out when I print something.
Does a good job of printing, just slight problems using it.

Great printer for home use

The Epson 620 does a great job of printing photos. It's the best printer that I have used so far for photos and seems to not use as much ink as other printers. The photos come out sharp and the colors are just about perfect.
It also does as well as any other printer for everyday printing of documents.

This is my 2nd printer. I received my first one and I got an error as soon as I turned it on. I called EPSON and the technician was very nice an helpful but could not fix online. He sent me a second one right away - thank you.
The only problem is the second one did not come with a power cord, instructions or user book. Lots of in though. Thank goodness I still had all of what I needed from the first printer. So now what do I do with a brand new printer that does not work?

I like the printer very much, however I am having an indication "Cannot recognize the following ink cartridge (5). Try installing them again." Ihave installed new cartridges with out a positive response. I still like the printer but would like an assist in resolving this problem.
