clean lines & stylish look!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] love the simplicity- yet full functions-it doesn't make me feel like I have to review the manual each time I need to set oven- or feel like there is some mega mother board to breakdown. only drawback is that it does not go all the way to the back wall, If electrical plug is located where is suggested- plug itself is about 3/4 inch deep. there are also 2 bump type protrusions on the back- I assume to allow proper air circulation to keep unit from touching back wall. We added a 3/4 inch stainless strip to the back wall- looks awesome.. Performance wise- it is incredible- great temperature control on all burners....end product- awesome! (tried to upload photos- but link did not work.)

there is no complete manual
on October 7, 2016

manual does tell how to clean other than how turn on self clean. nothing about how to adjust effortless oven racks !!!!
so many crevices on stove top unable to clean bad design.
If you use stove and oven daily not a good fit. This oven made for people who cook twice
a year then can self clean, self clean breaks oven down if use too much.

oven cleaner, I am so sorry that you have been so frustrated with your range! Page 30 of your Owner’s Manual shows how to clean the cooktop (including the crevices!). Be on the lookout for an email from me shortly with more information for you. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth.

Love it but have a question about the griddle
on October 11, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful looking appliance! Very happy with purchase! Two concerns/questions:
- my first time using the griddle and even buttered bread stuck to it and now has left marks all over the griddle. I cleaned with soap and water and there are still marks. I couldn't even make a grilled cheese on it because it was completely stuck. Do you have a solution to this?
- secondly, do the grates need to be seasoned at all? They seem so rough to be sliding pants from burner to burner
Would love your help on this especially the griddle question. I really want to be able to use it a lot but now it looks terrible with the stains from attempting to make a grilled cheese for my daughter. Thank you for your help! :)

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Kim4287. I recommend seasoning your griddle along with your grates. Things you will need to season your griddle:
Lard, a roll of heavy paper towels, and your oven. Make sure that the griddle has been washed in hot water and mild detergent. Dry the griddle by letting it heat up on your range. Pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees.
Place a dollop of lard on the griddle. The size is not important, but a 1/4th of a cup should do, if you need more you may add more to cover the griddle face. Cover the face and interior sides liberally. Do not cover the bottom of the griddle or any part that touches the cooking surface.
Once the griddle is coated, place it in the oven (at 200 degrees) and set the timer for 3 hours. The low temperature will open the cast iron pores and allow the lard to penetrate as it liquefies.
After the time is up remove the griddle from the oven. Once it is cool enough to touch, wipe it down with a clean paper towel to remove most of the lard. In approximately another hour or so, wipe it down once more. You may also coat the bottom surfaces of the grates with a vegetable oil, then place in the oven on 350 for about 30- 60 minutes. This will season the grates and help prevent rust from forming. I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact us via this forum should you have additional questions. Courtney

Looks great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few months ago for a full kitchen remodel. The burners are great, and the oven seems to get to temperature quickly. I have not done much baking yet, so not sure about if it keeps temperature well or not. I took the star because of some small design problems. The dual timers, don't actually ring. It seems like they just beep once (quietly) so plan on using a different timer. It would also be nice if there were a temperature readout for the oven.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Updated a very old stove/oven and am delighted with this Frgidaire Professional model. The burner selections are appropriate to recipe requirements and the oven preheats and bakes efficiently.
