Having issues

Im having a few issues with my new stove: 1. The fan is extremely loud in convection and preheat mode. 2. Every once in awhile when i go to use the controls for the oven it won't turn on until I cycle the knobs for about 5 min. 3. It seems there no actual "oven" mode as the fans are always cycling on and off even when convection is not selected. Please help as I've had this oven for about 2 months and so far pretty disappointed.

This unit performs as advertised!

I purchased the stainless steel version, which has performed equal or better than the advertising. I read some "downer" reviews; however, my unit did not have any of "those" issues. My only difficulty is cleaning; i.e., keeping it looking like new. The beautiful SS-brushed finish requires dedicated time to keep the unit pristine. I use the stove daily. All spatters from cooking can be seen immediately. Thankfully, Weiman makes both cloth wipes and a spray for clean-up. But no product removes dark, burned-on grease without elbow-grease. The middle burners for the griddle are exceptionally difficult to keep clean; the three upper gas-dispersion units must be un-screwed from the stove to clean in the direction of the SS directional brushing. Plan at least a 2-hour time slot for cleaning. Since I purchased this stove for using it daily, it is just fine. If I were to have wanted it for a picture in Better Homes and Gardens, not likely--too much time to keep it in pristine, new condition.

Was disappointed in the controls, didn't realize that you couldn't pre-program oven to come on at a later time. This is suppose to be a high end appliance. I thought all ovens did that, guess I didn't ask enough questions, also controls on front do not display the temp of the oven and I also find the timers difficult to set, probably will get better at this as time goes on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After owning this appliance for 6 months, its performed great. The oven cooks very evenly. I can't even tell much difference between the convection baking and the conventional baking in terms of evenness of browning, etc. The cooktop is easy to control, and outs out a lot more heat than my old range if needed. Aslo, the stainless steel surfaces are very easy to clean and don't show fingerprints or smudges at all. The only criticism I have is that the two built-in timers are worthless because the sound volume is so low that unless you're standing next to the stove you can't even hear them, even when set at maximum volume. They need to be much louder to be of any use.

beautiful stove but limited functuality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice looking stove that is well made and assembled in the USA. However there are a few issues. The configuration in the rear of the stove doesn't allow for a code compliant gas pipe to properly recess into the range. I had to have the gas pipe moved. The timers should shut off the oven and the alarm is too low and too short. It cant be heard from another room. Lastly, the rubber gromets on the bottom of the stove plates fall out during cleaning and get lost

Good looking stove!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this stove for 4 months. I've not used the convection cooking yet. In conventional cooking the oven is a little hot so I've had to reduce my cooking times.
The cooktop looks attractive but every little thing leaves a mark so I'm constantly cleaning it! And then because of the raised stainless edge all the way around the cooktop it's hard to get the corners clean.
The timer on the stove is nonexistent... it can't be heard... period. I had to purchase a small timer!

Didn't even think to check for a visual temperature gauge that would be noticed at a glanced. There isn't one. THAT is a necessity, for me anyway. Darn. This is disappointing. I have an oven that I'm going to have to get some getting used to AFTER always thinking it was a typical feature.

Love my Frigidaire Range!
