Slide in Gas Range

When looking for a slide in, smudge proof model, this oven was highly recommended. As you cannot use the stove prior to purchase, we were unaware of a few annoying issues. When the oven is used, the fan starts immediately and continues until about 1 HR after use. This is very loud and disturbing, especially when entertaining. The fan is loud and within distance of the dining area. Had we known this, we would never have purchased. Also, while the rack inside with auto slide out is convenient, it is cumbersome to change for lowering the rack. I wish I would have known these issues as it would have affected our decision to purchase.

Happy we purchased this model

We replaced a Viking Professional Range with this range. We never liked the more expensive range and had lots of issues with it. So far, this range is great. We love the added 5th burner in the middle-it gives a lot more flexibility.
Only feature so far that we feel needs improvement is the timer buzzer. It is too quiet and too short. We have found we use our other time so we can hear it and not burn the food. Having the two timers is nice-just needs to be louder.

Love it with one large exception

I had this installed a week ago. I love the cooking surface, the gas burners work great. I love the convection of the oven and the way it cooks also. My biggest complaint about the oven is the temperature control knob is in 50 degree increments. You can set in between but you are just guessing as to where the correct temperature is. The really need to design a new knob and put at least 25 degree markings as well, or even if they put 10 degree markings you could narrow your search for 375, 425 versus just guessing that is in the middle. I am really disappointed in the temperature knob. I did not notice when I purchased it that the temperature was not digital, (of course it was not plugged in on the showroom floor), I just thought it would be with the digital display. And the timer is just a short beep beep when it is done. Not loud enough to be heard outside of my kitchen Although I do think it does a reminder beep every few seconds if you don’t turn it off, I am still afraid to leave the room and not hear it.

Beautiful!… But poor design and functionality.

This stove is my third one. It has been replaced because of inoperative burners and the broiler function did not work. The prior two stoves of this model had similar problems. My wife and I made a terrible mistake in purchasing the full suite of the Frigidare kitchen appliances 6 months ago. The dishwasher was the only unit that did not have to be replaced or repaired. I wish I could return all the products and choose a better brand.

Be aware that there NO LED read out to tell what the oven temperature is. There are only hashmarks on the oven dial, divided into 100's. You are out of luck if you really want a precise oven temperature. What about 425? No LED screen, you are out of luck, just GUESS the temp. Horrible.

We purchased this range a month ago and it has performed well. The only suggestion I would have is when selecting a temperature set for the oven the temperature should display on the front panel.

Lemon! Bad features for oven

Bought 1 month ago - the convention motors are bad - sounds light a freight train, the preheat oven light rapids blinks - electrical problem - and for a professional series there is no over temperature indicator - You don't know what temperature the oven is at if you lower the temperature - I built my kitchen around this professional series and now I might have to change the stove
