Good stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this unit about a month ago. Seems like the broiler doesn’t work right (keeps shutting off) but I need to spend some more time trying to figure it out before I call service.
I saw another review that says the burner knobs can be turned on easily if you bump into them. Has happened many times in the first month!
It also “beeps” a lot and I can’t figure out what the stove is trying to tell me! Owner’s manual does not seem to help me figure it out.

Bakes great but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the oven gives a nice even bake, there a a few things about this appliance that are a daily annoyance.
#1. The cooktop scratched horribly the first time we used it, even though we followed all the instructions in the manual on how to prep the surface and what pot/pans are appropriate to use. Now, it will never look good and friends comment on its awful appearance.
2. The volume of the Timer is VERY low, it can not be heard from another room, or if the radio or TV are on.
3. The fan in the oven is quite loud. This makes hearing the Timer all the more difficult.

Yikes! RachelG, I regret the fan sounds are frustrating you. However, you can adjust the volume level of the audible alerts, page 18 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions. The ceramic top needs to be cleaned in a certain way, page 32 of your Owner’s Manual goes over the instructions in depth. On Frigidaire.com we have several choices for cleaning your range. I highly recommend our Cerama Bryte complete cooktop cleaning kit (number ACC200005). The kit contains 28oz of the cooktop crème cleaner, super easy cooktop touchup wipes, it also comes with a scraper for cooked on messes, and a microfiber pad to shine it up. It is a great value for keeping the ceramic top beautiful! You can try leaving the conditioning crème on for longer (10-15 minutes), for tough marks. The special cooktop cleaning cream leaves a protective finish on the glass to help prevent scratches and abrasions. After cooktop has cooled, it should immediately be cleaned to prevent any marks from becoming permanent. I hope this helped! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this high end electric range thinking this would be the best stove we ever purchased , the range is very beautiful and works well except for the timers . There are two timers and when set on high ( volume for tone ) a dripping faucet is louder , we have had a repair person come and he said that’s it . If you do any baking you need a timer . We have resorted to using our cell phone as a timer . Wish we had known would have never purchased this range

Great Range!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Range about a month ago and I LOVE it! It’s a beautiful design and functions great. One of my favorite feature is the slide out oven rack. The only draw backs I can find is the timer is so quiet you can barely hear it, the oven fan is noisy and it doesn’t show the oven temperature digitally when reached to desire setting. If Frigidaire fixed those few things it would be the perfect range.

The Manual needs Improvement

The Use & Care manual is poorly written and appears to cover multiple appliance models. 1) Can the bottom storage drawer be removed for cleaning beneath/behind the range? If so, how? 2) Is there a temperature display? If yes, how is it activated on the display panel? 3) How and where are the User Preference Settings changed or activated? By this I mean which controls are involved, or which buttons are pushed. 4) What is Idle Mode? Is this when the oven is off and cool?

This is my "Range Rover"

Love this inside and out. My family enjoys the warming plate feature. Coming home to a warm plate instead of microwaving it. Convection is a bonus.

Disappointing

We bought this oven about two years ago - from the start it had design flaws that are mentioned in several reviews: the timer is too quiet, the knobs are too touchy, the stainless cooktop and vent become discolored after normal use, and the gliding shelf is very difficult to remove/replace. I put up with all of that because I did like the burners, the convection feature, and the slim design. However, the oven has NO temperature readout. It has two timers but no temperature readout. I had to buy an oven thermometer to know the temperature and discovered that the oven is very poorly calibrated. Additionally, the oven only offers increments of 50 degrees to start with which is difficult to adjust with any precision (most ovens offer at least 25-degree increments). These are design issues - not something that has 'gone wrong.' I have been disappointed in these shortcomings but only came to actively dislike the over once the oven thermostat gave out - after two years of use the thermostat must be replaced. I wish this oven lived up to its potential.
