My new convection microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our 3rd and hardest to figure out how to use on the convection side. Book nor online tell you how to preheat oven, insert your food, and continue at the same degree. Been working around it but my others, preheated to the temp, told you to put in food, then cook time. If someone can tell me how to do that, it would be awesome.

Mary345, thank you for sharing your microwave experience with us. Convection cooking in a microwave was new for me, l would like to see if I can help you. Suppose you want to preheat to bake at 325° F
1. Touch conv cook—the display should show PREHEAT
2. Touch ok/start +30 sec—display should show 325°
3. Touch 6—display should show 350°
4. Touch ok/start +30 sec—display should show PREHEAT
When set temperature is reached—display should show OVEN READY
You will find these directions, along with more information on preheating, on pages 22-24 of your Owner’s Manual. I hope this helped! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Nice microwave overall - Great customer service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this microwave about 5 months ago. It worked fine until the welds on the lower door hinge broke at about 4 months. I must say that I was very impressed with Frigidaire customer service. They sent a serviceman out to look at it who deemed the unit unrepairable (He had never seen this problem before, so it must not be a very common problem). Within 24 hours I was contacted by customer service and was instructed to exchange the microwave for anther unit of the same model. The second unit functions fine.
Overall I like this microwave. It performs well and has a a lot of nice features.
The only complaint I have with this second one is that the exhaust fan is much louder than the original unit. After the holidays I will contact them about it.

Awesome Microwave/Convection Oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this almost a month ago. I have used the convection oven to toast, bake a cake, muffins, brownies, and pizza. The microwave portion works wonderful also. I LOVE this microwave and convection oven combined!

Thank you for submitting your microwave review, wwood. Your microwave has 4 exhaust speeds that move the air from 170 to 400 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM). If there is only slight air movement, please review your installation instructions. It is important that venting be installed using the most direct route and with as few elbows as possible. This ensures clear venting of exhaust and helps prevent blockages. Also, make sure dampers swing freely and nothing is blocking the ducts. For satisfactory air movement, the total duct length of 31⁄4” x 10” (8.2 x 25.4 cm) rectangular or 5" (12.7 cm) diameter/6" (15.2 cm) diameter round duct should not exceed 120 equivalent feet (36.5m). Your microwave does not have the option to adjust the volume of the audible alerts (beeps). It looks beautiful and works really nicely. Especially the lighting underneath for the stove is stunning.
The exhaust fan has three settings instead of just a high and low.
