Hing on micrave opening has fringed wires

We are having the same problem with the wire on the hing fraying as was reported by another customer. Is this part replaceable. The microwave will not even turn on at this point. It was very costly and I do not want to have to replace it.

Broken with 2 years of limited use

My husband and I purchased 12/20 and live at another home 1/2 of each year. We use our microwave on a limited basis and know not to open microwave while it is running - and yet here we are at 2 years, 2 months and we are advised that our Frigidaire Professional series microwave is broken and to repair will cost more than purchasing a new microwave!!??? Shameful poor quality, American made product should not fail so quickly with such limited use!!??

The microwave itself works like a dream. The poor design or construction of having a metal handle with PLASTIC brackets over a range to attach the handle is awful! The plastic is not resistant, the plastic must warp and somehow. We have owned our microwave for just 5 years and the handle has come off 2x already. We don’t use the microwave all that much and there are only 3 people in our house. Poor construction! The brackets should be made of silicone or something that can withstand heat and not warp.

Could be better

Beeper could be louder. If you’re not standing by the microwave you can’t here it over other kitchen noises. The unpacking instructions on the outside of the box don’t match what you will find in the box. You have to take the microwave out of the box to get to the mounting plate. The Installation booklet list of ½” drill size is WRONG. Go by the sizes listed on the “Top Cabinet Template.”

Mixed blessing

after one month of light use the controls freeze intermittently. now the clock is thonly thing working and there is an error number (E11). Even after turning the power off and on, this still happens. Whatever is wrong, the failure is progressive — first no convection, then no microwave, then not power at all (fan, light, etc.)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sensor cook, doubles as an oven, easy to keep clea

I bought this 6 months ago, and my family uses it everyday. It's easy to use, has smart button features such as sensor cook for rice, bacon, breakfast sandwiches. It also doubled as an oven so when you are entertaining you have two ovens and it is easy to keep clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this microwave in the winter with all the other appliances. First refrigerator didn't work and I lost most of my food. The microwave has a panel next to the handle that was attached with double sided tape. it will not stay fixed. Bad design. I went to the dealer to show them and their display was the same. The dealer said they ask the Frigidaire rep about this and she said they had not had any complaints. I cant understand why the two I have seen both have the same problem and you are not aware of the issue. My unit is still not fixed and I'm disappointed with the quality for the price. I went back to Frigidaire because I had good service from my last set of appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this unit in our newly upgraded kitchen. For the first few weeks we only used the microwave that worked fine. When we tried to use the convention oven we noticed the unit shut off before the recommend cooking time with an error code. Same thing when we tried convection cooking a day or two later and was getting extremely hot. The unit has been in the repair shop for almost two weeks. Hope we have better luck with our new Frigidaire stove!
