We are terribly sorry to hear this! Microwaves pull about 12 amps and need their own dedicated 20-amp circuit. That means they shouldn’t be sharing the circuit with any other appliances. If the microwave currently shares a circuit with other appliances and runs at the same time as those appliances, they’ll quickly overload the circuit and trip the breaker. Touch panel stopped working

We had the professionals series installed for new constructed home. The touch panel started acting up within the first 6 months of owning it! Eventually the touch panel stopped working all together. The light inside of the unit and the clock works. I was reading how the poor design of the touch panel on the door is the main cause. The cables that come out from the door get easily bent which caused the wires to get fried. The cost to get it repaired was above the cost of just having it replaced. So much for the “professional” label. Sad!

Lasted a paltry two years

Apparently it's very common for the wires in the door to break at which point you either replace the door or throw it out and buy a new one. The door costs as much as a new unit. Now we will have to buy something from a different brand which won't match the style of our other (equally poor quality) Frigidaire appliances. We will never buy anything from Frigidaire again.

Handle broke, fuse keeps blowing

A year ago fuse blew so we had a repairman out to fix as couldn't reach fuse. He said wires get pinched everytime door opens and shuts which causes fuses to blow. Cost to try and repair was not cost effective. Managed to change fuse and wrap wires with electrical tape but now handle has completely cracked and broken off. This was the most pricey microwave which we only purchased to match the rest of our new Frigidaire appliances after a kitchen remodel.

Door wont function worn harness

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave is only 2 years old and the wires on the harness connecting the door are worn and broke. This poor design caused the microwave not to work any longer. Could I receive a new door with the harness.

CONTROLS NOT WORKING

We installed this microwave 2 years ago and now the controls have failed and this very expensive microwave is not functional. Started just showing the time but not responding to button presses. Then would display an “unplug” message. We tried to unplug it and reset the breaker several times, but still nothing only the message showing unplug. What is going on with this microwave????
