Stressed out over my appliances!

We replaced all of our appliances when we remodeled our kitchen in 2011. Our previous appliances were almost 20 years old! I fell in love with the look of the smudge proof frigidaire professional appliances, so we purchased the French door refrigerator, ceramic top front knob stove, dishwasher, and over the stove microwave. We are on our second refrigirator, that was recently repaired and our third microwave. The dishwasher has also been repaired. Two days ago our microwave died. This purchase has been a complete disaster! Our warranty ran out on it last year. I had been keeping up with the extended warranties until they quit sending offers. I can't afford to keep this up, therefore I plan to purchase a different brand microwave. I haven't decided what to go with, but it definitely won't be frigidaire.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks great, very appealing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed with this microwave. It cooks fast and has many options. The nice design adds a very nice touch to our kitchen. I do wish the end of cycle and timer alarms were a bit louder though.

Great appliance- questionable construction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this microwave 3 months ago- specifically because it was a US manufacturer- have had trouble getting parts in the last for large appliances manufactured overseas. 3 weeks ago a weld broke on the door- had a great response from the warranty department- but found out this appliance is now subbed out for manufacture overseas......needless to say the door cannot be repaired- the reason still rating three stars is the warranty covered full replacement with installation. Hopeful we have better luck with our second microwave

Love the Oven--but issues upon installation

Multiple doors and key pads did not work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First door the touch keys for 4, 5, 9 and 0 did not work when pressed. This effects trying to set the clock time and cooking time. Repair technician came out and determined the door needed to be replaced because the touch pad is built in. New door came 1 week later and although it looked the same the wire connector was different. Amazing two door that are identical but the wire harness is different. A new door was ordered. The following week the 2nd replacement door came in. Technician installed it and it would not program. Turned out the door was damaged. A third door has been ordered and should be in next week. We can only hope it will work and I sure hope the repair technician gets paid for his time working with defective parts. Hard to give a review after having it for four weeks and not having much success using it. I will post a follow up after the next door is replaced. What a shame as the door is nearly the price of a new microwave convection oven all for a defective touch pad.

Nice Looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, the original unit had a bad number input pad; the right-most numbers would not work, so not off to a good start. Excellent dealer replaced the door and it now works fine. My wife is not very pleased with the short interval between pressing a single number, such as "2," and the microwave starting up. So if you want to input "20" seconds and you're a little slow to hit the "0," the microwave starts up for a 2-minute run. Also, the alert tones are a little soft even when turned up all the way, but I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing. I tried the convection oven only once so far and it didn't seem to cook thoroughly to the desired temp in the recommended time. All in all, I would sum it up as an average performer with above average looks.

Works greate & easy to install
