Thoroughly Modern Microwave

I bought this microwave to replace another Frigidaire Professional that stopped working and was out of warranty. I didn't expect to get all the new features including convection cooking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Have enjoyed this mic/conv. Works well in our RV. Does what it says it does.Was missing one of the wire racks and Frididaire is sending its replacement.

Better than Expected

I purchased this microwave about 4 months ago. I love the sleek design and it matches my other appliances. Since my oven started having issues, we have had to use the convection oven to bake. I'm so glad that the microwave has that feature.
It's pretty easy to operate and and after your food is done, there's a pleasant sounding beep at the end.
My only issue is the door handle is not sturdy. The hinges on the inside are already loose and it causes the door to be slightly lopsided. We called the repairman and he is stumped. Hopefully he will figure out how to repair it soon. Currently he's talking to the manufacture to get assistance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Problem child

Despite reading negative reviews about this microwave we decided to purchase it anyway because the positive reviews outweighed the negative ones. Once installed, we noticed that the front display and push button system on the front door panel was defective. We talked to the vendor we purchased it from and were advised to contact the manufacturer directly. They provided the contact information to a local repair contractor and set up the initial appointment. Despite explaining the problem in detail and receiving a verbal confirmation of a proposed solution, the repairman arrived a week later to merely do an assessment.
A replacement door was ordered and installed a week later. However, once installed, the repairman noticed the wiring harness was different.
A new door was ordered and when the repairman installed it another week later, he noticed it was broken, brand new in the box. He was extremely embarrassed and we observed him in his car outside our home ordering yet another door. He was visibly upset and by his body language it was not a pleasant conversation with whom ever he was talking to.
That brings us to today. About two weeks later and no contact from the repairman.
I don't know if the problem is solely with the manufacturer or their local repair vendor, but going on over a month, this is unacceptable. We've been more than patient.
We've kept the box and receipt and are at the point where we will return it and purchase a competitors product if any, ANY more issues arise and this microwave isn't repaired or performs as advertised.
Disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
