Price needs dropped

Rollers easily become damaged. Have 3 daughters plus wife in house with long hair. Hair gets wrapped around roller and cuts a grove. Also have three dogs and if roomba picks up a piece of dog food it sits on top of rollers and keeps tumbling which aldo causes damage. Price of rollers is too high for a part that needs yo be frequently replaced.

Rollers only lasted 5 months of daily use.

I love that I do not have to vacuum/sweep my hardwood floors daily. Upkeep on pets is difficult and this eases the cleaning process. I have to clean Wall-e at least twice during his cleaning time because of the pet hair wrapping around the rollers. This has caused the rollers to be cut in 1/2 and must be replaced. Also the small plastic latch to open the filter area has broke and won't stay closed. It bothers me as this was a Christmas present and only 5 months old with all these issues already...will this last even 1 year??
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use, Long Run Time
Cons: Difficult To Clean, Rollers are too soft, don't last

I keep going back to the bristle brush

I've owned an 880 and 960 and these beater bars kept having to be replaced constantly. They are not "tangle free" as advertised. Something as minor as a long piece of string would rip up this bar leaving large gouges in the small flippers and eventually render then ineffective. And if a solid item got stuck, like a hair clip perhaps, the extractors would just keep spinning and rip up the flippers. The bristle brush would allow more space for larger debris to pass through. And the price?? For just one set of the extractors, is ridiculous. Nevertheless, for this reason alone, I prefer the late 600 and 700 series which still use the sturdier, effective and less expensive bristle bar and flexible brush. Sure I had to clean it once every 1-2 weeks but it only took a few minutes, or they were cheap enough to replace just once a month. These "tangle free" extractors had to be changed much more often along with the HEPA filter, another disaster. The HEPA filters for the 700 series are much much cheaper and just as effective. If Roomba could at least go back to using the bristle brush on the more advanced models, I'd definitely upgrade.

This is the second set of replacement rollers I have had to order. They are expensive considering how long they last. Unfortunately there are no other options.
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Clogs Easily, rollers wear out quickly

I have had the same experience as others

I have had same experience as others with these rollers, the rubber is very flimsy and anything (string, hair etc.) gets wrapped around the roller it cuts a groove in the rubber. Very cheap especially for the price. Also these make "tracks" on my wood floors. I have cleaned them several times and it still does it, not sure why..
Pros: Attractive
Cons: Flimsy, Poor quality, Poor value

Roomba gets Lost.

We love Mary Lou 2. Our issues is that Mary Lou 2 gets lost in our house and doesn't make it back to home base. We have it run when we are at work, but when I have been home and it was running I had to empty the bin 2 times and then "free" it from the fan stand. It also frequently locks itself in our bathroom. Mary Lou 2 does great work though and we have to empty the bin every day when it runs because of the amount of dog hair it picks up. which to me means its working.
Pros: Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use
Cons: Can't make its way back to home base, Clogs Easily

Love my Roomba

Before I first used Barnaby I used my old vaccum on my carpet. Thinking how much can this Roomba really pick up. I was suprised with my first use. There was so much debris my old vacuum left behind. My labrador loves to sleep under my bed and it's really heavy to move my bed just to vacuum under it. Barnaby does his job well.
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Easy To Use, Hassle Free Operation
