Our new washer

We bought the washer as a replacement for our kitchen-housed washer. It is noisier than I expected but the features such as the bulk detergent/fabric softener are great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Washed heavy load of work jeans (6 pairs) machine had no problem. Glad I made the investment in this quality of machine.

I have had this washer a few months now. The feature are great and operate as expected. With the bulk dispense system and the programming in the control, I never have to worry about adding too much detergent to the load being washed. And the energy savings are great. Although it took a little time getting use to the lower water levels, I found the clothes still come out clean without all the wasted water. Its operation with the low water reminds me of washing clothes like they did before washers were invented. With a wash board. Great appliance!

Hooked the washer up about turned it on and it clicks like a ratchet. NON STOP. Its horrible. I had the previous version which clunked and clanged but this is far more annoying. Its like there's a woodpecker in the laundry room.
Lid is awkward to close compared to previous version, it feels assisted but slams shut. Does a poor job of spinning clothes dry. Previous version (GTWS8655D0MC) clothes came out almost dry. These are almost dripping wet.

Too many issues

There have been so many issues, the tanks/compartments wouldn't dispense, complete dry spots on clothes, constant unbalancing though I put things in evenly. The clothes would go in without stains but come out with stains all over. Had someone come out and the computer needs to be replaced (it's actually being done right now). I really hope this fixes the issues because I am so turned off by GE products right now.

GE Washer looks good and works wonders!

My husband was leaving for a year long temporary assignment out of the country and was worried that our old washer would go out on me since it was 20 years old. So he bought me this washer as a surprise and I am totally gratefully that he did! The washer senses the load then balances the load and when the clothes are done washing they are almost dry. The spin cycle in this washer is so sensational. You can set the spin cycle to the type of laundry. I love this machine!!

Since we purchased this GE washer in May 2016, we have had 6 visits or more of GE appliance technicians to come out and fix it. It wasn't dispensing the liquid detergent or softner correctly, the notification levels wasn't working, then the flow of water was not correct. After several boards and parts were replaced it finally has been working. Still concerned with a good clean though! At this time, I wouldn't recommend this washer until I have used it for at least a year to make sure all the changes are working. Spent a lot of money to get top of the line washer and the product not meeting those standards.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
