Love hate relationship with this product

Have had this unit for 4 years and it has worked well. Mostly use to boil water and make popcorn and also for microwave meals. The turntable handles a large rectangular lasagna tray, amazing. Only recently used the grill feature, worked well. The convection oven is very noisy and slow to heat and the preheat indicator never goes off, always says preheating. Don't recommend for allot of convection use. Recently the microwave feature failed to heat a cup of water, would only make it luke warm, and I decided to repair it myself as parts and labor would exceed the value of the unit. I did extensive troubleshooting research online and decided my best course of action was to replace the magnetron and the inverter (transformer) as these components were most frequently cited as failing. This was to no avail. Tested all the circuitry and had power to the inverter so it wasn't a switch or thermal fuse. Finally noticed one of the ferite "bullets" in the wave guide tunnel was slightly loose. Took it out and noticed it was corroded and eaten away. Ordered a new set of (3) ferite bullets and now the microwave is working great. The wave guide tunnel is the metal tunnel that directs the wave energy from the magnetron into the oven cavity and the bullets, from what I understand, tune the waves to concentrate them better into the oven cavity. It seems like many service techs miss this as a possible cause of failure. Also heard if the wave guide (not the wave guide cover) gets too damaged the oven is unrepairable. Hope this helps someone having problems with one of these units.

Love the cooking space!

All of my cookware fits in this microwave. I utilize the light over the stove and nightlight feature regularly. The automatic fan isa very nice feature. The tutorial screen was easy to navigate.

Problems with this product

I purchased this item a couple years ago thinking that it was a superior product. However, problems started right away. This product does not function very well when installed over an oven, which is how it was designed to be used. Seems that steam or heat from the oven can enter the electronics within the microwave and cause problems. Now the microwave will run through programs on its own and continue "beeping" at all hours of the day and night. It sometimes locks up and will not respond to touch controls. I am concerned that the maker will not stand behind their products integrity.

This product is defective

We have had the same problems as another reviewer. This microwave is above the stove and will not tolerate any cooking on the stove at all. It starts going through all types of cycles randomly, beeps in the middle of the night, and locks up so you cannot do anything with it. We have had this microwave replaced 3 times in the last year. Please correct the problem.

I had to purchase this microwave because of the offset door hinges and the way our cabinets are configured. This thing is so cool. I've grilled chicken with the sizzle plate, it was decent. Soooo many features!!! I have gotten nothing but compliments on this appliance.I could go on forever, but this is a really cool microwave, and worth the money.
