Don't waste your money!

I loved this microwave/convection cook when I first saw it. It is visually stunning but unfortunately doe not perform. We had issues the first year we bought and every year since-we are on year five. We have spent hundreds in repairs over the last 5 years -mainly because of the initial investment and then regrettably we had our backsplash cut to fit around it! Terrible product-problems with moisture as others have stated getting in the door panel and causing the control panel to go out. Problems with the fan. Problems with it just quitting completely. Overpriced beautiful piece of junk!

Not a durable product

Had this installed when our house was built. It has the same 'ghost' issues as mentioned in other reviews. Control will randomly change on its own whether your using it or not. We make sure to unplug it when leaving for more than a day because we worry it will turn on by itself and keep running. Have had it repaired once and is not heating again. For the price...I would by a different one and have enough money left to buy a second one for less than this model. Does look good, but definitely form over function!

Poorly built PLASTIC componets
on April 22, 2013

This product is very poorly built. The bottom of the door of the unit is plastic and IF you cook at all it will crack from the heat from the stove below the unit. The steam or heat will get in through the cracked plastic and go in between the glass front and get into the electrical panel. The electrical panel will get condensation and not work and you will have to replace the electrical panel or buy a whole new unit. I do have a direct vent to the outside and use the fan on the unit. Other companies use steel on the bottom and do not have this issue. The plastic on the bottom of the door will crack and you will have an issue eventually.

Touch screen ghost

This microwave came with the house when we purchased it. It was manufactured in 2008 so it has lasted 10 years or so. However, the touchscreen randomly started going off lately as if someone was pushing buttons on the screen. Can’t stop it unless keeping it unplugged or locking the screen. Is there a fix to this? I like the microwave and don’t want to buy a new one but I will have to if I can’t use this one. With all the reviews stating the same issues I wouldn’t likely be buying whirlpool given the known issues.

I see other reviews with this same error. I, like the others, would like to fix it rather than replace it. Please advise.

Worst Engineered prodcut ever

If I could give it negative stars I would.I've had nothing but issue's with this piece of junk since day 1. Worst design ever, as others have stated, it over heats and gets a mind of it's own. I spend more time unplugging it. The engineers behind this product should all be fired.Do not waste your money on this piece of junk!
