We wanted a microwave range hood replacement...

...we got a third oven! This microwave does it all. It cooks like a microwave or you can use it as a convection oven. The pre-programmed cooking by type, method, food, etc. is a great feature. I use it exclusively for cooking bacon now and clean-up is a breeze. Steaming vegetables is a pleasure and it's quick!The only thing I wish it had, and maybe it does and I don't know it, is the ability to program additional foods.

We have loved it from day 1. Is awesome for any sort of cooking. Takes a little time to figure out the right setting because there are so many options but after you get it figured out it is AWESOME!!!!!

I chose this microwave for two reasons - 1) it had all the features I wanted and 2) it was the only one that fit the location of my microwave. (There is a wine rack beside the microwave that prevents a door that hinges at the end of the door from opening. This one has space at the end and the door will open). That being said - it is a great microwave. It is fast and even and the options are useful. The convection oven is as good as my regular convection oven. I am really happy with it.

The technology is great. I have not fully evaluated the features but will with time. Knowing I have the security of a maintenance plan and my past experience with Whirlpool appliances convinced me to try the convection microwave. I'm sure My family and I will enjoy using it. I recommend Whirlpool and am proud to support an American Company with made in the USA products.

Poor quality

Not worth over $1000. Door fogged up right after installation. After 2 years the heating elements for the microwave and convection oven just quit working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased this microwave in 2006 and at first I loved it, then about a year later the glass started to fog up and the plastic strips around the door cracked. I had an extended warranty on the product and the door was replaced. A couple years later it happened again and they ended up replacing the whole microwave. Well, it has happened again and the extended warranty has expired so I am stuck with a microwave that has cracks in the plastic and fogged glass. For the price I paid for this microwave, I should not have the same problem over and over again. I do not recommend this product
