Poor seals

Leaked water from freezer to refrigerator as soon as it was set up. Frigidaire arranged for repairs quickly, but freezer seal still isn't perfect. I expected more from a brand new appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey Deb30! I am glad to hear your refrigerator was repaired for the leaking water. I recommend checking your door gasket. The best way to test this would be to place a dollar bill between the body of your refrigerator and close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing it. If nothing is stopping the door from closing then we would suggest a replacement door gasket. Please contact us directly with any additional questions or concerns you may have. -Kind Regards

Perfect fit

This refrigerator was purchased for a resort condominium. It is bright and spacious and fits the area allowed perfectly. It is quiet and meets energy saving requirements. The stainless steel finish is very attractive.

It's OK

I bought this refrigerator since my last Frigidaire died after 16 years. My new icebox was delivered and had to be replaced two days later as it was defective-would not cool or freeze food.
The replacement is fine-so far. I do notice that the new models only have a one year warranty. My previous Frigidaire had a one year/five year warranty (five years on the compressor). I guess they'd rather sell the extended warranties to their customers than provide them.
While these units are manufactured so the doors can be made right or left handed, the interior of the unit is not. If the door hinge is mounted on the left, the sole butter compartment will be closest to the handle. My previous Frigidaire had two butter compartments on either side of the door, so it did not matter what side the hinge was on. Likewise, the cold cut drawer can only be on the left hand side. If your door is hinged that way, you need to open the door completely to access this compartment. I think some simple engineering could make this drawer be placed on either side at minimal manufacturing cost.
Lastly, there are no ice trays or plastic freezer bins provided by Frigidaire as were supplied with my previous model. I suppose those features are from a by-gone era.
On the positive side, the door features extra wide shelves, so you are able to put larger size containers on them, saving space inside the unit itself.
For the price, this model is very utilitarian with a minimal of features. Time will tell whether its durability and longevity will be satisfactory
