I BOUGHT A FRIGIDAIRE STOVE BACK IN 2012 AND HAD TO REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER ONE WELL IT HAS SINCE BROKE AND NOW I CAN'T GET ANYONE TO HELP ME FIX THIS PROBLEM I HAVE CALLED 5 TIMES AND EACH TIME THEY SAY THEY ARE WORKING ON IT SORRY IT DOESN'T TAKE 3 WEEKS TO GET ME A NEW STOVE THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO HELP ME I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FRIGIDAIRE APPLIANCE AGAIN THEY ACT LIKE THIS IS COMING OUT OF THEIR POCKETS BUT I PAY FOR MY INS. NOT THEM I WANT MY NEW STOVE

Very happy with this choice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the 4 burner Whirlpool gas cooktop that came with my new home that I purchased 3 years ago. It was OK, but I wanted a hotter burner option, more cooking space, etc.. I did a lot of research and would have had no problem spending more, but I chose this one and I'm very happy with it after a couple of months of use. There is a lot of cooking space and many options for fast heating, simmering, etc.. I love the grills are easy to align in the cooktop. I did the install myself and it wasn't very difficult (I'm a DIY kind of guy anyway).

Outstanding upgrade

Strong burners but hard to clean

So far, the burners are very powerful and it's been nice and spacious for cooking. Cleaning it has been a different story. The knobs don't come off, so when trying to wipe them down, I often end up inadvertently turning the gas on. Also, the black tops of the gas part stain very easily. I don't cook that much, but there are already burnt on stains that are almost impossible to remove

Spacious and powerful but hard to keep clean

Cleaning it has been a different story. The knobs don't come off, so when trying to wipe them down, I often end up inadvertently turning the gas on. Also, the black tops of the gas part stain very easily. I don't cook that much, but there are already burnt on stains that are almost impossible to remove (have used Bar Keep's friend, Bon Ami, Method Degreaser, Mrs. Meyer, and baking soda to try and remove, to no avail).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] easy to clean, heavy duty cast iron grates. Reviews of lots of other cooktops mention plastic knobs melting (!), but on this one they are metal AND the knob area is slanted back which keeps heat away
