After initial difficulties I am enjoying it

Now that an in-warranty technician has adjusted the burners so they light properly and the flame is the right height, I am happy with this cooktop. Initially the left front burner did not light properly. Best Buy swapped out the unit no questions asked, but the second cooktop did the exact same thing! (In the reviews I saw someone else had this same experience.) The technician resolved the issue, but it would be much less work for the customer if they rolled off the assembly line with all burners adjusted properly. Aside from this initial problem, here are some of my other assessments. This cooktop cooks very nicely! The power and control are excellent, and I am very happy with the cooking results. Design wise, the black glass is very sleek, but the grates look awfully big. They are very prominent visually and are a little challenging to move and clean. (In order to clean the glass, you have to move the grates.) But everything cleans up nicely with soapy water. The burner caps keep spills out from the working parts and lend a professional look and feel to the cooktop. As other people stated, it is sometimes a little challenging to center pots over the flames, and things feel a little cramped when using multiple burners. My smallest pots wobble a little, which didn't happen on my old JennAir. Anyway, had I not had the initial lighting issue, I would have rated it 4 stars instead of 3 because I do very much enjoy the cooking results.

Easy to use with good features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with my cook top except it's hard to clean with heavy grid top of glass top. I a afraid I might break the glass top while I am cleaning. I wish it comes with grid cover so it won't get dirty all over the cook top.

BAD DESIGN

THE COOK TOP WORKS GREAT HOWEVER WHEN YOU ACCIDENTALLY BOIL OVER A POT THE LIQUID GOES THRU THE HOLES FOR THE BURNER CONTROLS AND SHORTS OUT THE ELECTRONIC IGNITERS UNDER THE STOVE. EXPENSIVE REPAIR.
