Buy Extended Warranty

We purchased this range as part of a Kitchenaid appliance package in May 2016. An exteded warrenty was purchased at that time. Shortly after the manufacturers warranty expired we began having issues with this range. To date, we have replaced 3 Electronic Control Units (motherboards), 1 Electric Fan, 1 Upper Temperature Sensor and it is presently inoperative with a F9E0 error code. It seems this product has a service life of about 3 years max. Whirlpool's telephone customer service is plesant but useless. Absolutely zero confidence in this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome range and oven. Only one negative.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this stove. It is functionally top notch. Ovens cook food wonderfully. The only negative is the range gas knobs. If you brush up against the knobs, they can turn on the gas without turning on the igniters. Happened once while I was upstairs. I came downstairs and the house was full of gas. I aired out the house and all was well. Now I am constantly vigilant especially before bed, to check the knobs.

Just not worth the money

I purchased this range 3 yrs ago and have been having issues ever since! The oven door is peeling. The convection fan doesn't blow consistently. The panel board just recently went dead!! I am currently on hold waiting for a customer service representative to pick up. I'm extremely disappointed in Kitchen aid appliances. I have the Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Range, and microwave. I hate that I spent well over 6k for all my appliances with Kitchen Aid!!

Love this stove

Stove Top: the burners are easy to use, give great heat (I mostly use cast iron), reading all other reviews, I was concerned about surface cleaning, but I have had zero issues with stove top cleaning. Also a concerned seemed to be how easy the gas knob would turn on just when leaning close, but I still have yet to have this happen. In future design I wish one of the bigger burners where in the back instead of the front, but I knew this when I purchased it.
Oven: Aqua lift, if you are expecting this to be a "self clean oven" then you have not done your homework on newer self clean ovens, yes it is a pain that it not fully self clean, but I knew exactly what I was walking into, and for this I am quite please how Aqua Lift "assists" the cleaning of the oven. Great Heat distribution, in every corner/area of the oven, cooks evenly, no disappointment here, steam cooking works fine as well. Other reviewer where wishing the oven control had a lock function on them, well my version HAS an oven lock function, therefore all good here.
Bottom warmer/slow cooker: TO be honest I was quite surprised with this, I didn't pay too much attention on this item upon purchase, but WOW, wasn't expecting that this could go up to 350F and actually cook/warm up a frozen meat pie while my Turkey is cooking in the main oven. It does have a slow cook function also, which I have not tried yet. Only little con is that the drawer isn't all that big, a pie will fit in because its not all that high, but a Big French bread will not, but hey not worth loosing a star for this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from a home with a semi professional 36" range, I though I'd be disappointed with this kitchen aid range, but I love it. The only comment I will make is that I have no use for the center burner. If I try to use it, I can't fit any other pots on the other burners.
The BTU's are great on all the regular burners and I'm very pleased.
I do have to lock the electronic panel, as it is sensitive and I accidentally touch it durning cooking and cleaning.
