Everything we've been looking for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy cooking and I have been secretly waiting for my old oven to bite the dust. I did lots of research and looked a lot at the competition before selecting this particular KitchenAid.
It has all the features I love and such a step up from my previous unit. Multiple btu's allow for fast cooking, great searing, and the ability to really simmer dishes.
The baking drawer is the next best thing to a double oven. Easier to clean than my previous cooktop.
Looks great!
Love this thing!!

Great range. Is there a griddle?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this range for about a year and are very pleased. We love the fact that we can make perfect pancakes on the griddle. We are looking for an accessory that we can use that also will allow us to grill steaks and prepare grilled vegetables. Does Kitchen Aid make such an accessory?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very clean lines. All the commercial features without the clunky look. Easy to use. Baking/warming drawer is a very useful feature.

Nothing but trouble!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range is about 13 mos old and have had nothing but trouble; always leaves me hanging on weekends; holidays. It has been unusable at least 4X over that time period, including right now. I have owned ranges for 40+ yrs and cannot remember having a service call, but techs have been here 4X for this range during 13 mos. I am at the point that I would have it hauled out of here and replace it with anything other than a KitchenAid/Whirlpool product!

Worth the splurge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to spend a little extra money on a new range when I remodeled my kitchen. Coming from an electric glass-top range, there is no comparison. Burners have a wide range of heat levels, and man do they get hot!
The oven has lots of features that I am still exploring, but the roll out rack is wonderful, and the option to convert a recipe to convection (or not) is helpful. Have not tried the steam bake yet.
I spent a month waiting for natural gas service in my house, so I spent a lot of time using the electric baking drawer. It did a great job with small meals and packs a punch with a 450 degree max temp. I can't imagine going back to a range where it is a useless cookie sheet drawer!
My only gripe so far is that there is not an option to lock the screen. Since it lies flat, it tends to accumulate food and spills. When I wipe it down I always end up unintentionally pressing a few buttons, and have even managed to accidentally start the oven.
Be warned, this range will stick out beyond the normal cabinet depth. A bit of black shows on the side, so if you are very concerned about this you may want to measure your cabinet depth. Personally, it doesn't bother me.

takes forever to preheat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look and the gas burners are fine, but the oven takes at least 20 minutes to preheat to 400 using either convection or regular bake. I'm going to have to buy a small counter top convection oven to get those chicken tenders ready before a kid melt down. Plus the timer and oven directives are laborious. Always accidently turning the oven off when resetting the timer. Also, I tried to roast veggies in the bottom drawer and it didn't work out at all. Never got hot enough down there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I could no longer get parts for my old gas stove, it was time to go shopping. I am a serious cook and baker and wanted a stove that would do it all: cooking, baking and canning. When I described what I wanted in a new stove, the salesman directed me to this model. My satisfaction with my Kitchen Aid small appliances did predispose me to choosing this particular stove, but it had all the features I wanted: the larger oven on top, a wide range of baking options, continuous grates, powerful burners, and easy clean-up of any spills. I really like this stove. It is an excellent piece of kitchen equipment and I recommend it without any reservations whatsoever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this gas stove for 3 weeks. The first time I have ever cooked with gas and I love all the features of this range.
