[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this slide in range because I was having a nice backsplash installed and also did not want to deal with less space when putting 4 pans onto the stove top.
The stainless steel top and front are so beautiful that I consider it a piece of art in my home. The stainless steel on this stove does not the fingerprint proof coating as the Refrigerator and Dishwasher I purchased, so there is a little bit more cleanup to do.
To start off, with the rear control panel missing to make room for more pots and pans on the top of the stove, you are given a control panel at the front top of the stove. I thought this might be a problem and would have rather had an angled or vertical panel on the front. This control panel goes above and beyond. It has exceeded my wildest dreams, in that I have spilled water, liquid food, hot oil, etc... and I have encountered absolutely no issues! The control panel needs a simple time setup, and most functions also require to answer at least one prompted question. Then, once you select and complete your function, the oven comes to temp and is ready to go and requests you to put your time in the oven. A great timer function is added as well as a convection oven function that offers to convert the baking time (takes away some time) while using the convection oven.
When cooking or frying, yes food and grease gets deposited onto the stainless surface...CLEAN IT UP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE after cooking. Although it seems to be easier to clean that having a black porcelain top on the stove, stuff does become baked on. This stove lets you remove all the elements down to the bare stove top. To clean, I first use something to cut the grease (in my case Method All Purpose - grapefruit scent) and then Bartenders Friend to remove any baked on crud. DO NOT SCUB THE STOVE WITH ANYTHING STRONGER THAN A NOT ROUGH TWO SIDED SPONGE!! Use the soft plastic non abrasive blue sponge. If you don't, you will leave swirling marks on the face, top and cook surface and ruin the good looking finish. Top it off with wiping the surface (after drying) with any stainless steel cleaner/preserver.
The over has so many programmable functions AND a warmer drawer too! This oven is call a convection oven, but it is not a true convection over that has a full-time strong fan running the whole cook or bake time. However, this convection feature will keep the oven at a solid temperature by using heating coils and the fan to blow hotter air around the oven as the temperature would start to drop, not just turning on the oven flame again. And Yes, the oven will also turn on from time to time also to keep the main temperature at a steady level as well.
There is one sliding oven shelf that is a boon to oven bakers and cooks who load large heavy baking or cooking items into the oven, and have a hard time dragging the shelf out to get a good grip onto the actual tray. The shelf glides as if on roller skates so easily, there is little effort to pull it out. There is also a shelf that utilizes a shelf with a water tray to add water to the oven air when baking and needed steam or moisture to give your bread a great crust.
Again, overall another great KitchenAid product!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the counter depth, 20 cubic ft, 36 inch refrigerator. It fits nicely in my space. It has a humidity control option which has come in very helpful! It complements the range, microwave and dishwasher very well!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the broiler function.
