[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assuming that I don't have too many repairs, this version of the Kitchen Aid ice maker is far superior to the three earlier versions that preceded it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased last month, replacing a 11 Year old Kitchenaid Ice maker. Makes the perfect ice ice and really like the integrated filter system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros- I love this ice maker! The ice is the perfect size (mini cubes, for ex of size they fit easily into a Swell bottle). We replaced a 10-yr old Scotsman that was terribly noisy and when the ice dropped it would wake us up at night (in comparison we barely hear the KA!). It makes plenty of ice; love the interior light too. Other reviewers mentioned the red circles on the handle; I like them actually much smaller than I thought they'd be.. But you can order silver parts if you want.
Cons- it didn't come with the "included" filter so we went without until it came (called KA and they shipped it right out). It is quieter with the filter..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second KitchenAid under-counter ice machine. My first KitchenAid ice machine lasted 17 years. When my original ice machine gave up the ghost I began searching for a replacement. I needed a 15" under-counter ice machine with a stainless steel door and a gravity drain. I looked at all makes and models and found KitchenAid, again, looked like the best option. However, the website makes it difficult to find the gravity drain. Finally I went into a retail location. A sales rep helped me find what I needed. The new ice machine has improvements over my old ice machine, like a built-in water filter. I'm looking forward to 17+ years of filtered ice from my new KitchenAid under counter ice machine. This is my favorite appliance in my kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a GE Monogram Ice Maker that came with the house when we purchased it. When it worked, it worked fine but we had to have a serviceman out within a year or so of purchasing our home. A year later we needed service work again only to find that GE either did not service these units, or there were no servicemen nearby. We finally gave up and after talking to friends and reading reviews on line we decided to purchase a KitchenAid ice maker. Installation was super easy and we are back in the ice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second icemaker from kitchenaid and while nice looking it is louder than our old one. The ice it produces seems to be smaller as well. Overall we are pleased though.
