(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I recently moved into a new house where I installed a KitchenAid ice maker in a terrace level bar. After just 2 short months, the machine has stopped making ice and is making a load humming noise. Going to shut it off and make a warranty service call. Highly disappointing!!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Order was suppose to come with set up and installation. Neither was done. Order was missing the accessory package so no filter came with the ice maker. It will not run without a filter. Still waiting for the filter to be furnished.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It's a little loud for the open floor plan we have but it's very handy and would do it all over again.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I give this machine an initial thumbs up for looks and performance. Good quality ice and recovery time. Seems like it would come with the filter in place, but does not. Hoping this one lasts a little longer than the previous machine(not Kitchen Aid but same manufacture).
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Pros- I love this ice maker! The ice is the perfect size (mini cubes, for ex of size they fit easily into a Swell bottle). We replaced a 10-yr old Scotsman that was terribly noisy and when the ice dropped it would wake us up at night (in comparison we barely hear the KA!). It makes plenty of ice; love the interior light too. Other reviewers mentioned the red circles on the handle; I like them actually much smaller than I thought they'd be.. But you can order silver parts if you want.
Cons- it didn't come with the "included" filter so we went without until it came (called KA and they shipped it right out). It is quieter with the filter..
