(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Within one week of getting the icemaker I had to get a new motor because the machine was overheating. I also had to buy a pump to drain it. The thing that makes me the most upset is that the bottom vent does not match the other KitchenAid appliances - it should be stainless steel and it's black. Very disappointed.

Doesn't work and Tech can't figure out why!!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Hello, I have a KUIX305ESS icemaker that I had installed approx a year ago. A few months ago I started having problems with the water filter. The change filter light came on, I replaced the filter. Three weeks later the change filter light came on. I bought another filter but , it stopped making ice. To make matters, worse, the filter jammed and I could not get it out of the machine.
First service call,the tech could not remove filter either , but was able to turn it enough to allow ice to be made without the filter until a new filter housing arrived. Second service call, tech replaced the housing, inserted a new filter, but water would not pass through it. He did say there was plenty of pressure as when filter removed water flowed as expected. He then replaced the water valve(3rd call), still nothing and all the tech could surmise was the filters were defective. He had no other solutions and told me to contact you. Can you help??

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Have had it for about a month. Makes Ice way faster than my last ice maker that was about 20 years old. Light and ice scoop holder are nice features. Wish it had a setting for adjusting ice cube size.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased this a month ago and have been very pleased. It replaced an older Kitchenaid 15" ice maker. The installation was a bit difficult as we had to unscrew a part to get through the machine to align the drain. We didn't have to do that with the old one but once we realized the solution, it was a piece of cake. The new machine produces more ice in a shorter amount of time which is great.
