[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After much research, I decided to purchase the Kitchenaid ice machine with pump in stainless. The unit has been in operation for several days, and I am very pleased with the quality of product and quantity of ice. Yes, there are "sounds," yet nothing out of the ordinary for a refrigeration unit, particularly once the bin is full. The ice is a nice size, and the bin is illuminated. The drain pump was well-worth the money: makes installation much easier. Great product, Kitchenaid!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This appliance will save my marriage. Honestly, we go through ice like crazy in this house and the refrigerator cannot keep up. This is perfect. The bin is not refrigerated, so the ice is constantly melting and draining (slowly). No big blocks of frozen ice to tackle. I'm a huge fan, and this is a huge hit with our family.

Had all new appliances installed with my renovation, and my supplier did recommend buying a warranty on the ice maker. Only because they tend to go out quicker than other appliances. Love the new handles Kitchenaid has come out with!

Now, a message is on the machine saying that it needs to be cleaned. I haven't had it 6 months yet. I had a Scotsman Ice Machine prior to this one. Wish I had stayed with them.
