[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a month ago and have been very pleased. It replaced an older Kitchenaid 15" ice maker. The installation was a bit difficult as we had to unscrew a part to get through the machine to align the drain. We didn't have to do that with the old one but once we realized the solution, it was a piece of cake. The new machine produces more ice in a shorter amount of time which is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first KitchenAid ice maker lasted 11 years before requiring repair for a refrigerant leak and lasted another year after the repair. We installed the new ice maker yesterday around 5PM and had nearly a full bin of ice this morning. Our biggest disappointment (actually, my wife was mad as a hornet) is that there was no filter included with the ice maker. With the premium price for buying KitchenAid products, I expected a filter to be included. The instructions discuss the filter but do not mention that it is not included with the ice maker. I expected more than this from a premium brand.
