Won't repeat buying this model again!

Have owned this Slide-in Range for just over a year. Couple of issues. Had to have the master control panel replaced after it kept "going completely blank"! The stainless is a pain to keep clean, to keep it looking nice, you become a fanatic cleaner. While cleaning the top of the control panel, while wiping it down it immediately turns on the oven! One of the biggest annoyances is when using the timer, if you don't pay attention, when you enter a time it can shut off the oven. Then you have to cancel what you thought was time that has now been entered as a temperature setting for your oven! Very frustrating. I use my oven/range everyday and this can be most annoying. The timer should not be able to interfere with oven operations. I am no longer a fan of the stainless steel exteriors. Maybe KitchenAid needs to offer other color choices for their kitchen appliances. Will be building two new homes in the near future and will consider other manufacturers due to problems with design, function and form.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Incredible Stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this stove about a month now and really am pleased with it. Not only is it gorgeous, especially being backless, but it functions so well. Love the 2 large grates that cover the entire top surface of the stove. Knobs heavy duty and light so well. 5 burners are nice in varying size. The large viewing area through front glass is really nice when baking. Control panel on top surface in front of grates is convenient and nicely out of sight. Touch panel on it is very nice too. Cooks even on stove top and in oven. Have received many compliments on this stove. Very pleased and would recommend to others.

This is my second KitchenAid electric range. Loved the first one and love this one. I could have put in a gas range, but really love the versatility of a glass cooktop. The burners heat very evenly. I like that I have a lot of choice to size of cook top and level of temperatures. The Class top has no "snow"... that white speckle seen on many other glass tops and when clean it sparkles black and sleek. I do miss the built in oven thermometer I had with the first range, but will purchase an after market to handle my standing rib roasts.

Design issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design allows splatter to gather on the oven control panel. When you wipe it of course you accidentally may touch a button. This is very annoying.
