I moved into a new upscale condo 3 weeks ago and the kitchen aid appliances were newly installed in our space. I have already called twice for service on my stove/oven - gas smell and oven not to temperature. I love to cook and entertain, and this does not live up to the Miele appliances that I am used to. The dishwasher does not dry, the refrigerator has frozen most of my groceries and the stove/oven is certainly been a problem. I might mention that the microwave door is already misaligned. I am so disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks great but problems

We bought a model home and moved in 4/25/17. The stove had not been turned on until settlement which was 12/2/16. The range looks like a gourmet model and having 5 burners is good. I haven't had gas in over 20 years, so I am still getting used to cooking with it. However, the knobs can easily be turned on by leaning into them. Also the burners put out SO much heat that the automatic fan on the microwave turns on! (Thank goodness.) The oven was not calibrated properly, so we read the instruction manual and attempted to do it ourselves. The temperature had improved but it is still not correct. We have to adjust our baking times which is a pain since my last oven was perfect!

Stainless finish is not on top surface

It would be helpful on the website if there was a top view of the range. It is not apparent in the photo that the top is black not stainless and I was surprised when I received it. I now see that the spec does say black top surface but, again - a photo would make it more obvious.

The oven is great: responsive, heats quickly, and heat is evenly distributed. Everything cooks evenly.
The stove top is less satisfactory. The power burner is not great except that it has a simmer feature. None of the other burners have that. Center tiny burner is just a waste of space. Also stovetop is not easy to clean. I have cooked on a Viking and a Wolf and owned a DCS for many years. Perhaps it is unfair to compare the KitchenAid. But then I have also cooked on electric induction burners and found them more effective. Very disappointing.
