Terrible Quality Control

Fist, it is NOT a slide-In range... it's a freestanding range with front controls. cooktop on a slide in sits on top of the countertop. Also, the big handle on the drawer is stupid... it's just an ankle catcher. BUT, those are aesthetic issues and I should have noticed them, so they're my bad. However, I'm on my second range and it's broken out of the box. (The first was dented and not from shipping/installation... the box was perfect). I plugged in the replacement and couldn't set the time, because the number 6 on the touchpad does not respond. Seriously, do they have any quality checks? (I also had a dented range hood (again the box was perfect) and a refrigerator that's out of square). I'm less than pleased with KitchenAid

DO NOT BUY!!

I purchased 5 brand new appliances after a major home renovation and I have always purchased gas stoves so I assumed this one would be similar to the others I've owned but I was wrong. Out of the 5 burners only one has a simmer feature so if you have to turn down more then one burner for any period of time you will most likely end up burning at least one dish.
The "Aqua" clean may as well be called "no" clean because it simply does not work. I had to clean the oven the old fashioned way by scrubbing it with chemicals, something I haven't had to do in a very long time. This oven was a HUGE disappointment for me and I regret buying it.

Hello, Sue67! We completely understand your concerns with your range. Cleaning your oven with chemicals may cause permanent damage to the porcelain surface of the oven interior. Running multiple AquaLift cycles may give you better results. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you; your feedback is greatly appreciated. If you would like to discuss this further please send an email to canadasocial@kitchenaid.com. Please include your best contact number, the serial number, and the reference ID 213734329. Thank you - Brittany

Aqualift DOES NOT WORK, DO NOT BE FOOLED

Cooktop works fine, that's not it ---- its the cleaning feature. I have had self-cleaning ovens for 40 years, they worked great. I love a clean oven. Then I got a new Kitchenaid range with Aqualift. IT DOESN'T CLEAN! It is terrible. I hate this thing ---- total garbage. What were you thinking Kitchenaid??? DO NOT BUY A RANGE WITH AQUALIFT! I will have to sell this thing or give it to charity --- I don't want it. Total waste of money. If I had known, I would never have purchased this range.

Will never get a natural gas stove again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a new construction townhome, came with natural gas stove. I had never had before. I like a normal electric stove better. Handle on every pot gets so hot, pans leave marks on the grate etc.

Hi there, Kelowna townhome! Thank you for contacting KitchenAid! We appreciate your feedback. We understand your concern. Although the burner grates are durable, they will gradually lose their shine and/or discolor due to the high temperatures of the gas
flame; This is normal. If you have additional concerns please email your information to canadasocial@kitchenaid.com. Please include your Review ID 228091533. Thank you! -Kelcey

Disappointing

Not a good choice. Oven went out first time used. The electric panel goes out when water is splashed on it. The panel is exposed to all spills and splashes. Poor overall design. The simmer burner can blow out causing gas leak. Very disappointing

purchased Nov./2018, i've had 3 service calls the first month for the oven igniter, now it's not working again, out of warranty, i'll have to repair it on my own dime. IF YOU REALLY HAVE TO BUY KITCHENAID, MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY!

Disappointed

Remodeled kitchen 4 years ago. Bought all KitchenAid appliances. Refrigerator ice maker started leaking just after 1 year. Paid out of pocket to fix, super expensive, shortly after started leaking again. We have no ice maker which is a feature we really wanted. Our stove gets mild to moderate use. It keeps giving an error code of 2FE0 and the oven shuts off. Tried cutting the power from main circuit panel to reset control board, as instructed, it didnt work. From what I read the touch pad or/and control board needs to be replaced. Knobs turn on very easily if leaned or brushed up against. Unfortunately, they have been left on several times leaking gas into out home. We had a Hot Point stove that was probably 20 years old and it worked perfectly. Spent 5k to 6k on KitchenAid appliances dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and stove. So far no problem with dishwasher or microwave.

NO NO NO Terrible!!!

I bought this oven 4 weeks ago and it is awful. It won’t maintain a temperature or even reach the desired temperature. I set the oven to 375, let it finish preheating, open the oven door and it is just about warm. The bottom of the oven will not get hot. I can actually touch with my bare hands the bottom inside of the oven while the oven is on. I’ve tried roasting, baking, convection, non-convection, rotating trays, adjusting racks, adjusting temperatures and all have been unsuccessful.... It’s just terrible.
The oven is just 4 weeks old and already it needs to be “serviced”!!! Also, good luck dealing with Kitchen Aid’s customer service; nobody wants to take responsibility for this crap product!
