Shattered front glass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It hasn’t even been a month, and the front black glass of the oven has already shattered. I didn’t expect it to break so easily. A tech is scheduled to come in two weeks to fix it. In the meantime, I’ve removed the door and taped the part to keep the oven light off. The glass shattered into very small, non-sharp pieces, and I didn’t get any cuts while cleaning up. This is my first time buying a range, and I’m honestly disappointed. All my kitchen appliances are KitchenAid, and I had high expectations, which were met until this oven purchase. Hopefully, it’s a simple fix, and they can replace the door under warranty. I also need to remind myself to keep the kids out of the kitchen, especially near the oven, since it seems fragile.

Dominatingly superior to my old stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it. But, to understand that appreciation for the Kitchen Aid you have to know about my old stove. It had two pilot lights and one would always go out and the house would smell like gas. The burner grates were little wire things and never stayed in place, the entire surface was held in place by plastic clips that had broken and the entire surface of the stove would move forward and backwards. The burners had gaps around them and good would always go under the cook surface and it was a disgusting mess under there because I never wanted to take the entire surface off to mess with cleaning around gas pipes and pilot lights.the oven didn’t have a light and the racks were prone to jamming if I wasn’t delicate with them. Most of the time I had to light it with a lighter because the pilot light was out and the gas knobs seemed to adjust themselves because it would not keep a consistent flame, especially when I wanted a very low heat. Basically it sucked very bad. However the Kitchen Aid is the exact opposite of all those problems and I love it! Additionally it has an oven light, convection, very precisely adjustable burners and even one meant for cooking fast and one meant for very low heat. The electronic ignition is fantastic the giant heavy cast iron grate that locks onto its mate and doesn’t move is pure joy! When I spill food it’s easy to clean up because of the sealed burners. The BEST and I did not but the Kitchen Aid for this but the absolute BEST feature is the “proof” feature on the oven. Oh my gosh!!! My bread, my cinnamon rolls, just wow! They are actually proofed in a short time and perfectly proofed. It’s enjoyable making yeast breads. My house is cold and drafty in the winter and hot and muggy in the summer so having a consistent way to proof yeast breads just blows me away! Lastly it’s black and stainless steel and looks really good in my house.

Love the range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this range! The different burners work well especially the middle one for my oval-shaped pots. Since the oven door is almost all glass, with the light on I can check what is baking without opening the door. (My dog likes to watch things baking too.) Things take longer to bake than the recipes say, but everything is baked evenly, looks great and tastes great too.
