KITCHENAID NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited about my new KA Range. Unfortunately I am now on my second range as the first one had to be replaced. Again the same problem, too much fluttering when you turn the burners down instead of a steady flame. It is not a heavy oven, thin walls and if you are a baker this is a problem. The pull out drawer at the bottom is extremely flimsy. AND the burners work best on high flame, much too hot for cooking. I have burned three expensive pans, which I have never done in 40 years of cooking. Too much heat when set high or medium on the burners with not enough steady heat when set on low, sputtering. Big disappointment for a very expensive stove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but controls are very sensitive

So far, its been a failure, after 1 month

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the burners work great, the oven has had issues. The broiler lights fine but the baking part does not work. I have had the unit 1 month. Already a service call. As for the top of the oven, I have my unit in an island and the venting part of the oven gets extremely hot. Have already burnt my hand on that. trying to find a solution to cover that part up

The oven does a gas flooding rather than holding temp, which is hard to get used to. my stove is missing the cast iron skillet so I am not able to review this feature

Stove top grates showing signs of wear.

I didn’t know the oven would be gas too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t do my homework. And, I didn’t know that a gas range top would be gas in the oven component as well. I’m thought the oven would be electric and the range top gas. There is too much exhaust odor from oven.
