Not impressed with the steam cleaning function

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Paint has already rubbed off the burner I use the most and only after one year. Vents are big enough for food to slip through. It took us a while to figure out how to calibrate the box and the oven plus fan kept throwing a breaker. Other than that, the unit seems to work well so far.

Wonderful for baking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this range several months ago and I am over all very pleased. The oven is a joy to bake in and the range is a beautiful addition. My only reservation is the way the grates interlock can make cleaning the top slightly more difficult. The other attributes more than compensate. Would purchase again without hesitation.

It is a 5 burner top but the center burner is in the center and a griddle would have been much better. The touchtop controls are easily turned on when wiping the surface. Must remember to turn off the oven after cleaning the top surface. But overall it operates quite well.

Spend More for Dual Fuel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the whole matching set of KitchenAid appliances in black stainless steel. The range does not come in black stainless (at least at the time I purchased), so I took the chance on a gas oven. I love the style and look of the range (and all of the matching appliances), but I'm only giving this 3 stars as I absolutely hate the gas oven. Whenever the oven is on, from pre-heat and all the way through baking/cooking, the exhaust fan has to be on as you can smell the gas. I can't put anything in the oven with oil on it. When the gas turns on (and it turns on intermittently with an annoying and scary sound), there is such a force from the gas turning on that any oil on the food is sprayed all over the inside of the oven. Convection baking seems to make the spraying effect even worse, so I don't even use convection, which is one of the reasons I wanted it. I keep a very clean kitchen and the inside of this oven, including the interior glass, looks like its been used for 15 years. The self-cleaning feature does not clean the mess off. I've been using this for a year and its the biggest regret of my kitchen remodel. Also, it has recently started making some clicking and grinding sounds. Can't wait to deal with this since the reviews on service are awful. Lastly, I would recommend KitchenAid figure out a way to temporarily lock the touch screen for cleaning. You cannot clean the touch screen without changing the time and changing settings.
On a positive note, the gas stovetop works fine. Either spend the money on dual fuel or go with a fully electric range.
