[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only have the Amana refrigerator for a few weeks and thus far it is very quiet and temperatures are perfect for freezer and refrigerator. However, I am very disappointed that the interior, same size as my 25 year old Amana was, didn't even come with a loose ice tray, egg tray, butter dish, no place for cheese etc. It is totally naked inside, plus the vegetable compartments are not as long as the 25 year old ones, and the freezer is much smaller. Would never have bought this model if I had seen it at a store. Was forced to buy via Internet, despite having shopped at at lest 5 or 6 stores. One of my criteria for purchase was I had to be able to use magnets on the door for my photo gallery and this model accepts magnets.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pull out freezer drawer moves from side to side if not opened exactly in the center of handle . Seems flimsy inside compared to my prior Ge profile refrigerator. Is noisy when cooling if the door has been opened for a few minutes

Replacement for 24 Year Old Amana

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We placed our "old" Amana bottom freezer refrigerator with the same brand and configuration . The new one does not have a swing out freezer door with storage which I miss. The dividers in the drawers in the freezer were hard to remove. I went on youtube.com and watched a video and basically had to break the dividers to get them out. Once that was done, we loaded the freezer and refrigerator and are back in business. I hope that the new Amana lasts as long as the old one.

Newer isn’t always better.

of this fridge which I love. The refrigerator is great, lots of usable space and the fridge is quieter than the old model. The only problem is with the fruit bin. The area in front of it is slanted toward the floor and the bin is very slick. Within two months the bin had fallen out onto the tile floor and smashed. Amanda did replace it at no cost. The freezer is now a pull out drawer which doesn’t give as much usable space as the old model which has a door. I like this fridge but I wish I could have bought a model just like my old one.

Solidly made refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator online based on the excellent rating it received from Consumer Reports. It works very well, but I have some minor design criticisms. The freezer drawers pull out easily, but I've discovered that, if you are not careful, items can fall out the back of the drawer when it is extended, and fall on the bottom of the freezer. I found it very difficult to retrieve the fallen items! Also there are no stops on the vegetable bins, so it's too easy to pull the drawers completely out of the refrigerator.
