Love it, except the new one does not have a door asst closing.
I just can't nudge it with my elbow and will close. It just hangs open. I have to really push it closed.

“No Frills” refrigerator/freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 2 mos ago. This is my second Amanda refrigerator. I had one that was almost identical to this one and had it 17 yrs! I live in a 70 year house and needed a specific size in order to fit the space. This is a “ no frills” model which was just what I wanted. Plenty large interior and the freezer is spacious. I’m very happy that Amanda chose to continue this great appliance.

Works well except for annoying intermitted noise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit in July of 2024. It has worked well, maintaining the temperatures of the fridge and freezer.
About mid September, it started making an annoying Woodpecker like noise that comes from the circulating fan in the refrigerator section. The noise lasts about two seconds then quiet for one second and then noisy for another two seconds. This even repeats a third time, infrequently. The unit is then quiet for thirty minutes or so and then the noise sequence repeats. I've had a repairman out who informed me that the noise is a common problem. Many owners have the same problem. Sadly, replacing the offending fan and associated assembly DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. There is a very good chance that the replacement parts will begin making the same woodpecker noise at some point.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Noisy noisy noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the noisiest refrigerator I have ever owned. Service man and tech support said normal operation. Will never buy another Amana, whirlpool, maytag again.

The refrigerator on the top is easily accessible and it’s nice not to have to bend over to see what’s in the bins. I can see everything as soon as I open the door. The freezer on the bottom has two levels and gives me so much room. Setting the temperatures is so easy because the dials are right In plain view in the refrigerator top front.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned Amana refrigerators for over 25 years. The newest one I purchased about a month ago, and it's sleek and spacious. My only complaint is that the vegetable and fruit bins tend to stick a bit when being pulled out and pushed back in. Otherwise, good value and good looks.

What I needed
