I love this ice maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second kitchen aid ice maker. In comparison, this new one is very quiet, which we love! We also love that there is a light to see the ice cubes and we love the small squares of ice. I have absolutely no complaints and would not hesitate to recommend.

Replacement Icemaker

This purchase replaced another KitchenAid we'd had about 11 years, and I'm pleased with the performance thus far. Has been up and running for a week now, and all appears to be working well. Nice to have the integrated drain pump. Any brand of ice maker such as this one is a complicated piece of equipment with lots of mechanical parts-- but that's part of why the shape and quality of ice is so much better than what your refrigerator will make. Due to the nature of the appliance, I bought an extended warranty. Compared to other brands, I have found this unit as quiet or quieter than others. Because of the way it produces ice, it isn't realistic to expect that it will be perfectly silent. The online use and care guide can give you an idea of the occasional operational sounds you may hear, which are minimal, and stop entirely once the machine is full.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice Ice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this two weeks ago to replace a 7 year old ice maker that had burnt up its compressor. This thing is super quiet, makes a ton of ice quickly, and has bright LED lighting inside. Only improvement would be if they didn’t ship with such an ugly door handle, emblazoned with red KitchenAid logos on each end; not at all discrete.
I would recommend this to a friend!
