This product only lasted 1 year before the case would not take a charge. If you can purchase it for a good price it's worth it.

The unit does fit the IPhone S5 but it is sticking to the volume lower button and therefore the phone is always on silence. Cannot hear work phone calls when the phone is silent.

Two Resurgence cases in two weeks and neither worked. First one did not work at all. I was sent replacement. Replacement initially worked and would only charge my phone if I used an Apple branded wall plug. Can't charge in the car. After 2 phone re-chargings the replacement case stopped charging my phone. To get a refund, Otterbox wants me to pay $5.00 (!) and return the Resurgence charger case.

Although we are confident that we can get you into a properly performing unit if you are up for another try, we can certainly appreciate your desire to call it a day, so to speak.
While it is correct that we will need you to return both Resurgence cases (the original that was purchased as well as the warranty replacement), we do have a team of Resurgence specialists that will be able to assist you with your concerns regarding the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) fee.
Just give our friendly representatives another brief call at 1-855-419-7417 and we'll help wrap things up for you one way of the other.

This power case might be useful on long trips when it's hard to find a place to recharge my phone. I was disappointed in the outer case, as there is no protection for the glass screen. The biggest disappointment is in the charger. The plug for the iPhone 5 is different than the standard one for the phone. So--you have to used a totally different charger cable than what I use normally use for my phone and iPad. Was not expecting that!
Pros: charges phone for longer period
Cons: charging cable, no protection for the glass screen

I have just received the Resurgence Power Case, at first glance I was like "WOW", this looks great, and feels nice in your hand. But after I got over the WOW factor, I really stated to look at it. the first thing I notice was there is no screen protection. so this leaves the screen opened to be scratch by you keys in you pocket, so now I have to go and buy a screen protector. which a good one is going to cost you at least $25-$30 additional. Second thing I noticed, was the charging port, Mini USB not the lighting port. Now you have to replace all the cables you have for your phone. like me, I have one in my home, my office and my car. I Get this is suppose to keep your battery charged, but there will be a time that you will forget you used the back-up and didn't charge the phone or the Resurgence pack the night before. Over all I still like it, but I have to remember to keep it charged or at least keep a spare cable with me. I will still recommend this to my friends and co-workers.

Best charging case I have used

I received my Otterbox a few weeks back and have been meaning to write a review. I was using a Mophie prior to the OtterBox and here are the main difference as I see them
* Durability: Winner; OtterBox. Have dropped phone a couple of times already and unlike my Mophie no cracks or chips
* Charging ability: Winner; OtterBox. Unlike my Mophie, which lost full charging capability after just a couple of months, the OtterBox at this time is the clear winner.
* Recharging Ease: Winner; Mophie. The Mophie case was much easier to charge the phone using I-Phone 5 charger or standard charger. This is only an issue when you forgot to pack or bring your standard charger as many people have the Iphone 5 chargers and are willing to share. Could the OtterBox put both charging ports on the bottom of the phone so device and phone could be charged by either charger.
Weight: OtterBox; Not nearly as heavy as it sits in the suit pant pocket.

I Love my Otter Box

The Resurgence Case for my I-Phone 5 is a treasure. I listen to podcasts and use my maps and my camera daily on my phone. Even though I charge it every night, I am often down to low battery warnings by evening. All I do now is press the little button on my case and it powers back up to 100%. i was worried the case would be bulky, but my phone still fits comfortably in my pocket. I am pleased that the phone and the case charge as one unit, no more carrying a separate battery charger that has to also be charged. I would and have suggested that this case is a great product.

I am happy to have the case and I plan to keep it and use it for as long as it is good for but I have one major issue with it and that involves the volume buttons on the phone. The case does not interact well with these buttons. I examined it and it seems like it just is not a perfect fit such that simply squeezing on the side of the case will raise or lower the volume unintentionally. This is a problem because you have to squeeze the case to change the phone from wake mode to sleep or vice versa and it always changes the volume when I try to do that. I have to be careful not to squeeze the case when putting the phone to sleep. Also when trying to raise or lower the volume there are issues and the phone may not respond to the button being pressed or it may do the wrong thing and lower the volume when trying to raise it or vice versa. I wish it was a perfect fit but it isn't so I have to use the phone in the case with some pickiness to make sure it does what I want it to.
