The resurgence is very protective and keeps my battery twice the power. It's a little heavy weight but besides that I also like that the battery shuts off automatically when it reaches 100%.
Really like the case and it is functioning as I had expected. I'm not concerned about running out of power and I don't have to deal with cords at the office and in the car. The only improvement would be to make the case lighter if possible, but once you get used to it, it's good.
I will only purchase Otter products as cases. Have them for my phone and ipad. Good design and functionality. It was a little expensive but love the additional battery time. Suggestion: since earphone extender is small and likely to get lost should include more than one in each case and/or a better mechanism to keep it attached to the phone when not in use.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: easy to lose the earphone extender
I would recommend this to a friend!

Resurgence Color and battery power issues

I have had my new cover for a couple of days. First turnoff is the color. My Teal Shimmer really looks like Tiffany's blue- more pale turquoise then mint green. MAYBE in certain lighting it may be teal shimmer- but definitely pastel blue ;-p. Secondly, the phone has only recharged once and while processing, it became very warm near the battery portion of my phone. I hope my phone or 'pockets' don't burn me or catch on fire !!! Thirdly, I wish it had a face protector. My pockets are not all clean with dirt, dog treats, kitty fur…. Fourthly, I am going to have to get used to not having holster. But if this case suppose to be protected from being drop, maybe I won't need one.
Nice case. But doesn't give "2x" battery life like it says. After the cases battery life gets to half it wont recharge the phone. Kinda defected in my opinion. Kinda regretting not getting just a regular otterbox.
The concept is great but the case is not. I have had problems getting it to charge. The cord that came with it charges sometimes and sometimes not. If you move it around and "jiggle" it, the charge begins but will just stop spontaneously. The only way to make sure it is charged is to take the case apart and charge case and phone separately.
I really have enjoyed my new otterbox. It is great knowing I have extra energy if needed. My only gripe would be the volume buttons. I press the up volume and instead it goes down. Not sure why that happens or if others are experiencing the same thing.
All in all, it is a great product and I gave it four out of five stars.
The battery within the case has already stopped taking a charge. Not to mention the port for the charger is different then the one within the 5s. Frustrating due to the fact that none of us need another charger cord in the mix. Also, the plug for the head phones is set so deep in to the bottom of the case that it makes it difficult to keep the head phones plugged in or use anything other then Apple head phones.
