I got this as a gift one year ago. While the recharging capability WAS very convenient, and saved me many times that I had not charged my phone for a couple of days, after one year the case will no longer hold a charge. Even from day one, recharging was tricky. With certain combinations of case charge level and phone charge level, when plugging in the case to charge, it would continuously beep. Never figured out what caused this, and I would take the phone out of the case (very inconvenient) and charge the phone and case separately. The case is large and the battery adds considerable weight. So, overall rating is just okay. If you have need to not charge for a couple of days, then this might be okay for you, but otherwise, not worth the extra price and weight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have found that it work great on my phone, good solid drop protection, great rapid recharge capabilities.
Would have like to see screen protector on the case but this thing work better than another brands power case I have used in the past.

The hardest part was getting the other cover off. after that experience everything was easy. So far my phone's battery has lasted almost four days without charging. Love the color and the case texture is great, so smooth, just love it.

My new Resurgence case arrived today. This case is exactly what I've been looking for, for my on-the-go lifestyle. The case arrived with a 75% charge so it was easy to plug it in and go. I did have some difficulty with the release snaps on the case. I broke a nail trying to get it open. I like to look of the case. I was dreading something big and bulky, but it was pleasantly slim, considering that it does have a battery attached. The battery definitely makes my phone heavier, but I'm sure I'll adjust. So far, I love it.

Just started using this new case. It does make my iPhone 5s heavier...but I like the feel of it. I am disappointed that I can no longer have it attached to my belt...but love the way it charges, so I have gotten over it! I would recommend this case for those that don't want to bother with another charger that attaches to the phone with a cable. This is quick and easy to use. A great product and I would recommend it!!
